12/18/18: 4.0 out 5 - For all intent and purpose, I am looking at the food and taste through the perspective as being "mall food". Nori Japan has been at the Clackamas Town Center for a long while. It's been at least six years since I last had Nori Japan. In my honest opinion, the food has improved. It's tasty...not much for presentation, but good. As for the service of the staff, I got good service and it was attentive. What more can you ask for at the mall food court? The one thing I noticed was the extra menus for ramen, sushi and salads. Haven't tried any yet, but some day I may. I like to believe I know know something about food. After all, I am my own chef and foodie or sorts. Plus, read my other reviews and see where I've been. As I always say, try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

Nori Japan is a hidden gem for quick and delicious Japanese cuisine. Whether you’re in the mood for teriyaki chicken, beef, or fresh stir-fried veggies, everything is cooked hot and fresh right in front of you. The portions are generous, especially for the price, and the flavors are always on point—savory, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. The chicken teriyaki is a standout—tender, juicy, and glazed with just the right amount of sauce. Their fried rice and noodles are also great options, and everything comes together as a satisfying meal. The staff is friendly and efficient, making it easy to grab a great lunch even on a busy day. If you’re at the mall or passing by, Nori Japan is definitely worth a stop. It’s fast food, but with quality and flavor that goes above expectations.

I love Norijapan when I go to clackamas mall I usually eat here at Nori and I love their chicken and fried rice! But sometimes the veggies are not fresh even though it is okay 👌 I hope they will see the comments and try to make a better veggie! The workers are friendly and nice 👍! Go and try it!

The service has always been really good and lightning fast, idk what some of you are talking about. They make it right in front of you Benihana style it takes all of 5 minutes? The prices are extremely fair and you can get DOUBLE CHICKEN for just a few bucks! (Look at the reviews, a lot of them are obviously angry mall trolls.) It's as good as Happy Teriyaki or any local mom n pop Japanese spot. The only thing you might not like on the meat is there can be a little bit of fat, but that's normal for Teriyaki and adds flavor. If you don't like that eat their vegetable bowl. Honestly why are y'all expecting wagu beef at a food court for less than $10?

For the location and speed it's beyond 5 stars. I've had some of the best customer service experiences here and I hate when people leave a bad review with no reasoning behind it...they're not rude, come by and see for yourself. I've never been rude to them so it's most likely a get what you give situation. Honestly there's so much hot yummy food for the price I wouldn't even care if they were. Updated: I firmly stand by this review. I’ve come here over ten years & am thrilled it’s still open. That’s not easy task at a mall…speaks to how delicious the food is, they can’t even rely on a franchise name for consistent new customers, just good food! Through the pandemic, not being able to entice people with their delicious free samples (probably how I started coming here in school lol!) & the racist Karens who thought Asian food would somehow give them covid…they survived. Ask yourself how a terrible food place could do that with no franchise name? They can’t. Titans have fallen but Nori stays delivering hot juicy fresh food…and...

I usually don’t post reviews but this was a pretty bad experience. I ordered a pick up on postmates and my order wasn’t ready when i got there, which is okay. I wasn’t in a rush and got in like to wait for my order. At the same time this young lady asked for a remake on her food because she didnt want vegetables. It’s annoying sometimes as a cook to have to remake food when you’re already backed up but this really set the cook off. He was an asain guy with tattoos on both arms but he became aggressive towards the customers as well as the staff. When my order was ready he practically yelled at me to get back in the ordering line to get my pick up. Once the remake was ready he yelled at the other girl to take her food. If he’s an employee i think he should be reprimanded if not fired because i see theres been other reviews about him having a poor attitude. If he’s the owner he definitely needs to treat customers better if he wants them to come back and for the sake of the other employees who have to deal with an angry chef. I hope this gets taken into...

Chicken is always overcooked because instead of cooking to order, the cook pre-cooks the chicken in a pile and keeps it to the side on the grill so by the time you get it, it's a mixture of extremely over cooked pieces, rock hard pieces, and little pieces of rubber tire. The rice is basically minute rice. It does not have the authentic taste and feel of GOOD teriyaki rice. This goes for both the fried and white rice. Also- if you want ANY extra sauce, you have to ask 1 million times down the line to even get it, and be prepared to put the Itty bitty 1/2 Oz. Cup of sauce (one per order!) on the food immeadiately at the counter when you get it because they give it to you in the tiny little paper cups that McDonalds use to give you for ketchup back in the day. And that means that the cups have no lids.. just super inconvenient and such a cheapskate ripoff. I wouldn't have even returned if my regular teriyaki spot hadn't been closed tonight due to election...
