I use to love my Kay Jewelers when they were in my home town. Since Covid, and that store closed down, I’ve had to take my jewelry to the store in Clackamas. Though the staff there are kind and helpful, there is always SOMETHING that goes wrong during every visit. First I took my personalized necklace (that I got 6 years ago for my first Mother’s Day) and other jewelry to the store, my necklace needed to be polished because it was “so dainty” in had to send it in. Well something happened during shipment and it was stolen. (So thankful I didn’t send my other jewelry that I was going to!) They had no problem giving me “credit” for what my jewelry was worth, except they had specific rules. (No sale items or Clearance) which would be fine, if I didn’t drive almost 2 hours every time I go, and if I KNEW about the no sale rule…. Instead,I gave them my wedding set, and Leo band to inspect and clean, I was allowed to shop, find earrings I liked for under budget (because of the sale) and had enough to buy my daughter a 24k rose… I was given back my jewelry and told I couldn’t get the items I picked because they were sale items. (My opinion, they lost my sentimental jewelry, I should be able to get whatever I wanted as long as it was the cost of what was on the “gift card” amount they were refunding me). I was annoyed, and my daughter was upset. When I got to dinner, I realized I only got my wedding set back, and not my Leo band. I ran back upstairs and the lady basically called me a liar at first, until she checked the cleaning basket and found there was a big hole in it and my ring had fallen through it 🤦🏻‍♀️
Anyway, after a little back and forth. I found a replacement necklace. When I went to pick it up, it didn’t fit the chain they replaced so they had to send it out to have it repaired, meaning I would have to come back YET AGAIN!….. during that time we ordered a rose for my daughter, she wanted the multicolored one, (I think it’s the Amethyst)
Well yesterday, I FINALLY got the replacement of my necklace that went missing almost a year ago, and also picked up my daughter’s rose. First off, it was a shot in the dark that my jewelry was there cause no one bother to call me to let me know it arrived… and the rose was WHITE! Not the one we ordered! All the sales lady said was “I didn’t accept this shipment, if I did I would have caught that this was the wrong color”
I didn’t fight it. My daughter was bummed it wasn’t what she wanted, but she still thought it was pretty and I finally had my jewelry. So we left.
I don’t think I will buy anything from Kay’s again, and if I do, which is a shame, because I’ve always dreamed about a Leo Emerald Cut engagement ring, and my hubby was planning to get it for our 10 wedding anniversary. If I do end up getting one, it will be from a...
Read moreThe BEST experience I have ever had when it comes to retail—hands down! Specifically, AuBrey at Kay Jewelers made this visit absolutely unforgettable. From the moment my mom and I walked in on Saturday the 8th around 3:45 pm, we felt incredibly welcomed and valued. I initially came in to drop off my ring for resizing, and my mom wanted to get her ring cleaned. However, this visit turned out to be so much more than just a simple errand.
AuBrey’s level of professionalism, kindness, and knowledge was beyond anything we could have expected. She didn’t just assist us—she went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. She helped track down the warranty for my ring, making the process smooth and hassle-free, and when my mom got her ring back after cleaning, it was absolutely flawless—better than when she first got it! The care and attention to detail were incredible.
What really stood out was how engaging and personable AuBrey was. We hadn’t planned on looking at rings that day, but her enthusiasm and expertise made it impossible to resist! She encouraged my mom to explore options for an upgrade, and before we knew it, we were trying on multiple stunning rings. I even found my DREAM ring—something I hadn’t expected at all! She was patient, never pushy, and genuinely excited to help us find pieces that felt perfect.
AuBrey’s warmth and professionalism truly set her apart. She was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining everything in detail while making us feel comfortable and confident in our choices. She treated us like family, not just customers, and that level of service is rare to find. Because of her, my mom is planning to return in June for her upgrade, and I will absolutely be coming back for my dream ring in the future.
I can confidently say that I will never shop for jewelry anywhere else. The service, the quality, and, most importantly, the people—SPECIFICALLY AuBrey—make Kay Jewelers the perfect place for any jewelry needs. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about making your experience special, ask for AuBrey. She is...
Read moreMercedes is everything a store manager should be!!! I was greeted with a huge smile the moment I walked in. From then on I was treated like royalty. I went into Kay’s very nervous after a bad experience at a different jeweler across the way. Because of that experience, I was extra observant of how the associates were interacting with customers. Kay’s exceeded my expectations. I am blown away by how the entire team was professional, friendly, warm and inviting. As I waited for my turn, I watched an associate cheerfully interact with a couple. The couple seemed overwhelmed by the huge selection of gorgeous rings and was having a hard time making a decision. The associate was so kind and patient with them and took her time to help them find the perfect ring. They were all smiles and even though they were strangers, I got excited to watch how happy they were. When it was my turn Mercedes gave me her undivided attention and helped me select a breathtaking Neil Lane Diamond Ring with matching band. The quality of jewelry at Kay’s is top notch. Having to replace my wedding ring felt emotional but I left with my dream ring and I’m so beyond grateful and happy! I can tell Mercedes really loves her job, treats her employees well, and loves making customers happy. She made this experience all about me and what I wanted. I didn’t feel pressured whatsoever. This is the best customer service experience I have ever had. My only regret is that I didn’t try Kay Jeweler’s sooner! This experience proves that good customer service and happy employees still exist! This is where you want to go for all your jewelry needs. Thank You Kay Jewelers, Mercedes, and Team! Pro tip- you can make an appointment to have priority service and bump ahead of walk ins. I was a walk in and didn’t have to wait very long but will use the scheduled appointment option...
