Bonchon Happy Valley — Restaurant in Milwaukie

I've never heard of this place nor did I know it was mainly a wings joint. But we noticed it and decided to try it out. I ordered the Japchae, $14.95 for literally a bowl of glass noodles and hardly any beef. I'm not going to complain about the prices because prices are high everywhere now; but maybe include a drink with it to help ease the pain. The dish was flavorful and there were some veggies, predominantly large pieces of mushroom; and the little beef pieces settled to the bottom. The dish is very oily (if you get bothered by grease or oil, take some prilosec or order something else). We also had their wings, which they claim, "double-fried crazy crispy", it was more like, "average fried, kinda crispy", to be fair they were boneless. Just a word of advice, if you're going to blast explicit hip hop music, don't change it when the cursing starts, be proud and own it. I'll try this place again with the bone-in wings and see how...

We went to Bonchon and I have to say, it is really really good. The flavors are excellent, the menu is pretty varied (if you like Korean food), and the staff were so pleasant. I can't imagine how difficult and scary it must be to open a new place in the current Covid-19 climate, but I think they are doing an excellent job! Will be returning with more people to try more food!

We had: Pork Buns, excellent taste, good sauce, crunchy pork.

Spicy Chicken Tacos, again great taste, lots of filling, the spice builds up nicely.

6 Soy Glaze wings, the flavor is really good these, however it does feel a bit single note if you eat many of them in a row without a palate break.

Great Korean street food at the mall

First time trying this place out after seeing reviews on here. Small place that seems like a good lunch spot. We used the kiosk to order. My husband and I have food allergies, so unfortunately we couldn't order crispy chicken, which is what this place is probably known for. (I'm salivating thinking about that crisp haha). We ordered potstickers and japchae. The japchae is a 10/10!!! Not salty and full of flavor! Highly recommend getting this. My daughter loved the potstickers. I love that they give more than four.

They were out of bibimbap, so we would like to try that next time. We waited about 15-ish minutes for our takeout. This place is popular. I'm a fan of this place. Great location and lots of parking, but parking may be hard to find during busy...
