My blueberry mojito was good and the piano music was loud and well done (don't plan to have much of a conversation if your group is bigger than 3). All our requests got played. Someone at my table ordered a whiskey sour and it came in a smaller glass than my cocktail (pretty noticeable because the glasses were the same shape and style), but the bartender did come by to clarify some preferences for the sour to make sure the person would like it. My single, regular sized cocktail was $16. The server came around 3-4 times over 2 hours for our group of 8 - it was Saturday night and there weren't any open seats, but it wasn't wall to wall people. I really wish they had some kind of snacks available, or a food truck outside. Some of the folks at my table would have had another drink if there were food available (even if just peanuts, chips, other non-refrigerated goods that don't require cooking). Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had to try this place out after it was featured on Esquire's Best Bars in America list. Wow, did Esquire get this one wrong - the place is a complete dump. As a frequent visitor to Hamtramck, and growing up in a Polish kitchen, I know Polish food, or at least Polish-American food. As a frequent bar patron, I also know what should be expected in a bar. This place misses so many marks, it has me questioning my Esquire subscription completely.
The bar is a dump. That would be fine, if that's their goal, but this place is just waiting to close (which it will in January 2016, I think... that couldn't come quick enough). Seats are shredded, and the place just looks dirty. Before they close, they are hoping to fleece as much money out of you as possible by over priced EVERYTHING.
We couldn't get out of there quick enough. My wife actually felt uncomfortable it was so run down and decrepit. I'm sure it was a great place in the past. Just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a really bad experience. My sister came here on the first night of her bachelorette. She was called on stage and the lady playing the piano (Dana) humiliated my sister. She had my sister do the āIām a little teapotā dance, and then switched the lyrics to āIām a little bimbo.ā My sister was humiliated. Not a great way to start the bachelorette weekend. Not to mention Dana was not being nice to a lot of people. As my sister was about to do karaoke she said āI donāt want any more singers up here,ā donāt go here for karaoke. They only want regulars or inner circle friends. She also called a few people out for...
