Brand new to the Dinky Town area, this spot is nestled next to the Varsity Theater, down a hall way past other businesses. Once you find the hall way, it’s easy to see the signage for the restaurant.
The restaurant was very clean with simple seating arrangements. For the size of the place, it’s limited to a few tables and chair adjacent to the counter area. With more popularity, I hope to see more tables and better quality chairs added. Because of it being a brand new restaurant, the seating area is sufficient.
When it comes to food, I was impressed. 3 hand roll combo comes with your choice of fillings, edamame, a large miso soup portion and drink for around $16. A very filling and satisfying portion and worth the money.
Quality of the food was great, edamame were steamed perfectly with a pinch of salt, hand rolls were great. I had the Blue Crab, Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna, all of which were fresh and tasted authentic with its respective spice mix. Rice was also cooked perfectly and a crisp layer of seaweed kept it all together. The miso soup was large in portion that had fresh tofu, seaweed and scallions mixed together. There was nothing short of great quality when it came to my order.
Finally, the customer service was great. Every staff member were friendly and proactive on keeping the restaurant clean, the food kept rolling and were very attentive before and after the meal.
I definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the mood for a hand roll or even a spam musubi, this is a great addition...
Read moreFirst time and I ended up going back again the next day. The spam misubi was amazing both times. Added a Eel Onigri the second time and was still amazed. I've had the authentic version of both and although I will say their food is adjusted to more western style taste buds I'm not mad about it. It's still really delicious. They are authentic and unique in the best way. The food is on the sweeter side than savory so if that's not your cup of tea try somewhere else. The rice is cooked to my definition of perfection. I can't wait to go back and try the sushi. Also with these kinds of food eating them sooner is always tastier. The customer service is amazing. The owner even remembered me the next day 😂 they're also extremely accommodating to how they prepare the food. And trust it's fresh. I literally watched them make my Onigri. Just a heads up parking isn't exactly the best but it's located right next to the UofM so what can you expect. If you're a college student, it's the perfect quick...
Read moreRolllicious has become my favorite sushi lunch spot in Dinkytown. This small restaurant surpasses numerous other establishments serving sushi or poke bowls. The superior quality of their sushi is evident, and their menu boasts an impressive variety of options, including raw fish, cooked rolls, and hot dishes like teriyaki salmon. Unlike most restaurants, Rolllicious offers affordable pricing. Their combo hand roll is an exceptional value, featuring three rolls, a fountain drink, edamame, and miso soup for $16.99. The spicy scallop hand roll is my top recommendation. Furthermore, Rolllicious is one of the few establishments that use genuine crab, rather than imitation crab, ensuring that customers receive excellent value. The owners are remarkably kind, attentive, and exude a peaceful aura, consistently expressing gratitude towards their customers. I strongly recommend giving...
