Rustica Washington Square — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Service was great. Good cappuccino and my pastry was very nice. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. My only comment is on the setting. It’s a little chilly both in aesthetic and temperature. More plants could help the vibe. And while I’m sure the building controls the thermostat, the door on the NW side of the cafe could be restricted or discouraged for use on chilly days. Every time someone comes or goes that way half the cafe is flooded with cold air, making it less tempting to come sit for a fall morning coffee. I’m so happy to see this space back in use again—it’s always been one of my favorite spots in the city. Rústica Bakery has brought it back to life in the best way possible. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for lingering over a coffee or catching up with friends.

The pastries are absolutely delicious—fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into every bite. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and savor the experience.
