I’m astonished by such disregard and disrespect from the manager here. I had been coming here for years and I assume they have gotten new staff within the last year or so. I have a signal service dog who was a regular at this store and have recently been harassed everytime I enter this store- being told there is staff with allergies or I need to use the mobile app and wait outside in the winter. Just completely disregarding my disability. I have left multiple times in tears. When I confronted the manger about it she said that to keep the service dog in the facility while there’s an allergy goes against what Starbucks stands for with there employees and told me if I was nicer things would be different. She told me I might have a better experience at a different Starbucks… I’m in complete shock today that this is what we’ve come to in treatment of people with disabilities. Allergies and fear of dogs are not valid reasons for denying access or refusing service to people using service animals. People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons or treated less favorably than other patrons. It’s simply the law and I’m saddened that unfortunately this location does not know...
Read moreRoomy loft style layout built from the ground up with plenty of stained oak and floor to high ceiling glass in a corner location. I was told the design was to 'put a hardwood floor on the ceiling'. The actual floor is composed of less impressive functional grey marble tile slabs. There is a constant background hum from the convection ovens and refrigerator cases you eventually get used to, but I suppose that's unavoidable. This one is remote enough to avoid much of the aggressive downtown thug traffic that ruined the Marquette Starbucks by the light rail. Has the occasional shady character who harasses, steals food and abuses the bathroom, but considering how bad downtown has gotten with politically correct policing it's an oasis. At Marquette they come in packs. Civil regular traffic includes Federal Reserve Building employees from across the street, bus drivers who line up in layover on 1st Street, uniformed students from DeLaSalle High School on Nicollet Island, and high end apartment dwellers on its massive block and nearby. This besides the typical coffee shop crowd you'd expect using it for business meets or as a day office. Manager Tim runs a tighter ship than most, he's the one to approach...
Read moreIt's a newly opened location in downtown Minneapolis NE area in 2017. The place is very spacious and has plenty of desks and chairs. A nice and quiet coffee shop to do some reading or hanging out.
It's a very convenient location in NE Minneapolis, since there are multiple bus stops around and it's right by the Mississippi river and the hiking/biking trail. You could come and get some cool drinks after your walking/biking right here.
The baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable on their drink options and give good recommendations. They accept the mobile order and the Starbucks star rewards, which is a must!!
Walking distance to the Whole Foods Market, which is also a plus. You could get a nice cup of coffee after your grocery shopping.
I like this location and would recommend people to come here and hang out. The only downside may be parking space if you drive nearby. They don't have the...
