The Fabled Rooster is located in the Graze Provisions + Libations building. This is a small operation but as big as Texas on flavors!! Charles was a really nice guy that helped and took care of us. He was happy to explain when I asked, that everything is made in house and that the brisket is smoked/cooked for 24 hours on the premises! All bbq sauces are in house made as well. I ordered the “Fabled Burger” that came with fries and a drink. That burger was the bomb! The burger was warm and had crispy fronds from the grill (flavorful sides), warm bun, local pickle slices and a special sauce! It was delicious and I’d give it a 10! The fries were hot and were lightly doused with gourmet salt flakes. Big difference vs just plain table salt! We also ordered the brisket dinner. It had all the taste and flavor that hallmarks excellent briskets!! The beef was marbled nicely and the spicy bbq sauce had a nice surprising kick. Although the brisket could very well be eaten without any sauces as it held up on its own; moist, tender, smoked to perfection. Texas toast and the jalepeno coleslaw were very good partners on the tray. Every time we visit Minneapolis we’ll be coming to the Fabled Rooster as part of our food ritual. Notable for visitors: It can be confusing if you are looking at the address of this vendor and you don’t see it. It’s because it’s all inside the Graze building. The building doesn’t have any of the food marquee signage’s outside so it’s confusing and easy to walk past the address. The building is a short walk from City Center hotels and very close to the Twins Stadium.

Update. I had to come back to update my review. I couldn't lower my rating any lower. As I prepared to go to bed that evening I could feel my dinner rushing through my digestive tract. My stomach didn't feel well and I just went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night with an urgency of having to use the restroom. After my body was satisfied with emptying out the lower half and cleaning myself and the bathroom I went back to bed only to find myself dry heaving trying to empty my stomach of any remaining dinner. Grabbing a bucket and trying to sleep I was able to get my stomach to settle down. Woke up just fine so I know I don't have the flu or anything. It was simply something I ate. I wish I could say I sampled several meals there but I didn't do the brisket rolls definitely didn't agree with my tummy. I won't be eating there again. Brisket rolls left a lot to be desired. One note with no texture other than the burnt parts from frying to long. Tasted like they forgot to remove the fat from the brisket and I couldn't tell where the cream cheese was as it was all mixed together. Like baby food inside a egg roll.

Twins Pregame BBQ at Graze in North Loop Before the Twins day game, we stopped at The Fabled Rooster inside Graze in the North Loop—and it didn’t disappoint. We tried the pulled pork and brisket plates, and both were excellent. The brisket was especially tender with a rich, smoky flavor, while the pulled pork was juicy and well-seasoned. Sides were solid too—the baked beans, and the collard greens were bright and tangy, possibly our favorite bite of the meal. The pickled red onions and house pickles added a great contrast, and the Texas toast rounded things out nicely. Lots of different BBQ sauces to choose from. Portions were just right for lunch. Everything tasted fresh and carefully prepared. If there’s one critique, it’s that the brisket was a bit fatty—delicious but tough to finish the whole portion. If you’re in the North Loop and in the mood for BBQ, The Fabled Rooster is a worthy stop. Grab a drink, find a spot on the patio, and take in the views of the old warehouse district now buzzing with breweries, and great food.

Update: thank you to the manager for a classy response!

Eh. Out of all the restaurants in Minneapolis we chose this one before a concert. We shared a pulled pork plate because at other barbecue places you get tons of sides. At this one you only get one! It cost $34 for one shared plate and two sodas plus tip. We did not realize that this was essentially a fast food place until we walked in the building and saw all the other food places inside of it. We didn't have time to choose anything else so we just decided to get food here. I was intrigued about getting beignets until I saw them frozen and sitting on the counter. So if you're thinking about getting these please know that they are not fresh! The pulled pork was super greasy and had some super hard chunks that were inedible. We got fries for our side and the larger ones were not cooked enough, they were still hard. The ice in our drinks was gone before we even finished half of them so they clearly don't have the soda machine set right. While it was enough food to share it didn't make us super full. Wasn't the worst meal but with all the other options in Minneapolis we probably won't go here again. There are a bunch of five-star reviews so maybe you will have better luck! Btw, my husband got yelled at for putting the tray back in the wrong spot lol...

My husband and I ordered two things from the menu last night, the friend pickles and the Cajun truffle fries. The Cajun truffle fries were delicious although they were not spicy at all. The pickles on the other hand were terrible, the pickles we were served were completed burnt and black, so dry you couldn’t even taste the pickles, it was burnt breading. We took the pickles back to have the remade and this is where the service earns one star. My husband showed them the pickles and although they agreed to remake them, they appeared to be laughing about the situation while looking back at my husband. We waited for the new order, took awhile. My husband checked on the order and saw them take pickles out of the fryer and asked if they burnt them again and the employee said no, when my husband told him he can see them and see they are burnt again he said oh well it’s a new oil so it’s finicky, and the two employees again were not taking it seriously and laughing and messing around and seemingly making fun or talking about my husband and the situation. My husband finally said he didn’t want the pickles anymore and asked for his money bat. They did void our whole check not just the pickles. The pickles looked delicious on the menu disappointed by the...
