When I crave the vibrant, bold flavors of authentic Szechuan cuisine, there's no other place I'd rather go than Bamboo Spice.
This restaurant isn't just serving food; it's an experience, a true taste of China that's hard to find elsewhere.
We started our meal with two classic Szechuan dishes: the Spicy Crispy Chicken and the Beef in House Chili Sauce. The chicken was fried to golden perfection, each bite delivering a satisfying crunch followed by a fiery kick. I had requested extra numbing peppercorns, and they delivered, sending a delightful tingle across my tongue and lips.
But the Beef in House Chili Sauce was truly transcendent. It wasn't just a dish; it was a symphony of flavors. The tender beef was bathed in a rich, savory chili sauce that was both complex and addictively delicious. The cabbage beneath soaked up all those wonderful flavors, making each forkful a filling and beautiful delight. I could honestly eat it every single day.
Just when we thought the meal couldn't get any better, we were presented with a dessert that was nothing short of divine: golden fried sesame rice balls. These little orbs were perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and slightly chewy on the inside, and filled with a luscious, semi-sweet egg custard. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
If you're tired of mediocre Chinese food and are ready for a meal that will leave a lasting impression, this is the place to go. You'll be talking about it all the way up until...
Read moreHomeboy at the front legit sneezed into his mask with his hands in front and didnt even bother to put on hand sanitizer or go wash his hands. Like the mask doesnt just suddenly cancel out all your germs lol these are not the times to play around with any germs, employees should be diligent about consistent hand washing/sanitizing. Also, they told me on the phone to give them 15 min to come pick up my food. I came 25 minutes later and they still told me to wait 15 minutes. Then 15 minutes later, another employee checked in on me and told me it would be another 15-20 minutes. Like man, if you’re gonna have issues within the kitchen or issues with making certain items on the menu because of the whole water system thing going around, AT LEAST tell people how long its really going to take the FIRST time you talk to them. You knew what I was ordering over the phone, you read it out to me, so why didnt you think to tell me then that there could be an extensively long wait. I wouldnt of minded because it would save me time from coming in the first place. Nice people in the end but there needs to be more...
Read moreI haven't even made it home with my food yet, and I know I'll never be back here. The inside is so small but they try to fit a whole nother row of tables, so 6ft spacing is out the window. You can't even stand in line and order without sucking it in and letting the server squeeze by you. But to get to the point, they were very busy and they're under staffed so everyone was rushing around. I asked the younger man who had on a NY hat a simple question about some sauce, and he responded to me in such a passive aggressive, condescending manner I had to stop myself from giving him some words. I'm almost sure he misunderstood my simple question then went in the back and said something to the woman taking my order. She gave me my food with a piercing glare that I didn't know if it was for me the young man or the fact that they were running around busy.. regardless of the fact anywhere I walk in in a good mood and walk out wanting to curse someone I'm no longer patronizing. Take this as a learning experience, or not. Me and my family...
