Well 1 star simply because I went with my kids and was returning a gun holster i didn't use on Friday nov.11. It was only purchased 2 weeks prior. I couldn't locate receipt so I figured they'd pull my payment off my credit card like every store does. I swipe the card and guy says with an attitude it's not coming up sorry. I said we'll let me try my second one just in case same face I get like he got dog popoo on his face. Nope nothing. I'm like well I know I definitely used card so what's the deal? I bought it at another location is that why? Guy says it doesn't matter it should pull up if you used card. I'm like wth. I ask if I can step aside and go trough my chase app and find the transaction and that'll tell me I used the card I'm giving him he said sure. Sure enough I find it and show it to him and he tells me he can't use any of the transaction info and try same cards again looks and talks to me like I stole it or something. And even my 11 yr old picked that up. I'm like I don't want store credit I know I used this cArd cause it came out my bank and you can pull out a receipt. I just said I will then go look for my receipt in my trunk hoping it's somewhere there and found it right away. I go back right away and throw the receipt on the counter. Guy same with the poopoo face grabs the receipt and I said "can you find the transaction now?" And I'm like now you want same card for refund?!" Smh I hope you don't have to return something with this guy and his name was SERGIO.

On 3/18/2020 I purchased two bicycles in the amount of $359.99 from Academy Sports. Within three weeks after my purchase, both bikes began breaking down. For example, the brakes on one stopped working and the other had an improper front alignment. I purchased the bikes during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I called the store to better understand their return policy. I was assured by the Customer Service Specialist via phone that my return would be accepted with a valid receipt. Since the City was on lock down and I was quarantined, I didn’t attempt to return the bikes until today 5/18/2020.
When I came to the location on 5/18/2020, the Assistant Store Manager (Amanda)refused my return without any explanation. She couldn’t specify in policy any rationale to support her decision to decline my return. I felt that her decision was due to the color of my skin. During our conversation, the assistant manager was unprofessional and continually raised her voice at me without reason.
Please note that the bikes were left in the store per the approval of the Assistant Store Manager. Therefore, I am without a refund nor do I have possession of the bicycles. The Assistant Manager was irrational and failed to support her decision with...

I went to exchange them for the exact same color and brand but one size bigger. I did not have my receipt but figured I could do an even exchange. NOT!!! I was told I had to pay the difference on the exact same pants just one size bigger. Then the little girl at the register asked the manager to better explain it to me, he just yelled from the other end of the counter that it couldn't be done and went on about his business. Needless to say I dropped everything in my hand close to $100 worth of additional merchandise I was about to purchase and headed to the Academy in Pearland where I was accommodated and treated with kindness.
