Above and beyond has not been something that I have been on the receiving end of in a long time. When I say that Cameron exceeded expectations that I never could have imagined needing, Iām being honest.
Today is a special birthday, for the most amazing person that I have ever known, and life has thrown him some incredible challenges recently. He truly never asks for anything, but this year he asked for a Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream cake.
Knowing that we arenāt the only ones who life regularly throws curveballs at, things didnāt go as planned, and this special request might have gone unfulfilled, if not for Cameron.
He was able to coordinate a spectacular replacement and gallantly went out of his way to save the day.
In the grand scheme of things, ice cream cakes arenāt generally life altering, but in the quiet moments, when emotional generosity matters, facing the ugly hydra that is multiple myeloma might seem like a lonely battle; people like Cameron remind us that we arenāt alone.
I know that there were certainly more people that helped to make this day happen, and Iām truly thankful for all of them, but as the face and the voice, driving the solutions and showing how much he cared, we all want to make sure that Cameron knows how important he was in ensuring that this day was perfect, in spite of circumstances beyond either of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love coming to this Baskin-Robbins because it is so convenient to where I live. Iām in there at least once a week, mostly on Sundays. However, the lack of customer service exhibited today took me back. When I entered the establishment there was no greeting from the young lady standing at the cash register, just a stare! I proceeded to walk down the aisle and two gentlemen did not even acknowledge me standing there. Usually on Sundays the business is crowded but I was the only customer along with another young lady that came in and took a seat. One of the young men finally acknowledged me and asked if I was ready??? I was ready when I came in for my order is always the same. When I told him āYesā he proceeded to complete what he was previously doing and the other young man standing actually asked me what my order was. As I was paying and getting ready to leave I asked if they had napkins and the young man that took my order said theyāre in the napkin holder in front of you! The reason I asked is because the holder was empty! When I told him this he came around to fill it. Iām all for hiring young adults to get them ready for the real world but customer service is above all the first lesson that needs to be taught and followed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to have my husband stop in for a treat that I can't eat (more on that in a sec). He walked in to immediately be told they were closed, which they weren't. Then he was being hit by a broom from an employee who never once said excuse me. While ordering he said exactly what I wanted. I wanted one scoop of ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry. Whatever size is the cheapest. Just whatever you do, no nuts. Well, I am in the truck due to being sick and not wanting to infect others and watching the guy making my ice cream licking his fingers and dipping them back into my ice cream and doing it again before covering it in nuts. I am so disgusted. This was at 9 pm tonight. They charged 8 bucks for saliva and nut covered ice cream. I normally do not post reviews, but this was too disgusting to not share. First and LAST time going to...
