More like a 3.5 star, but can be upgraded. This location hasn't been opened long, and has a whole lot of potential. Staff are always upbeat and very helpful the minute you walk in the door. They sell a lot of quality items, that I'm happy to buy from them and not Lowe's or Home Depot. I particularly like their selection of chalk paints. Store is always clean and organized as well.
Why the 3.5 instead of a 4 or 5. Well they advertise services they don't actually have. For example; they advertise that they do car key programming. I believe you have to purchase the key from them, and then they'll program it. However, their machine is not actually programmed to do it, based on what two of their associates told me when I went in for this purpose. It bothered me a little because I received a flyer for this location advertising the service, and one of the associates stated it's advertised on their website as well. Also, I use the soda streamer, and take my empty refillers to them for recycling and purchase of new ones. They advertise this service as well, and although they do recycle for the discount, every time I bring mine in the cashier doesn't no the steps to process the recycle and discount. Twice they gave me discount for $5.00 each on the pink bottles, but it should be $15.00 each. They are new at it, but it has happened enough that hopefully someone can train the cashiers on the steps to make the correct exchange and discount.
I keep going to this location because it's new, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and hopefully those small kinks will work...
Read moreIt's a nice store. Great to have something more local to home for general DIY items. Knocked off one star because I feel there are things that could be improved upon:
• I appreciate being greeted at the door, but it sometimes feels like you're being pounced on. From my experience, it is a bit too close and 'in your face'. • When it's quiet, many of the staff seem to hang around talking at the checkout which can be a bit overwhelming. • Being asked to 'round-up' every time you pay for items. Life is expensive enough these days and it puts customers under unnecessary pressure to pay more. If it must be done, have a button on the machine where one can choose more discretely if they would like to donate or not. This is a practice that will certainly make me shop elsewhere if it continues, and I have spoken with others that feel the same. A new business is meant to attract customers, not...
Read moreI don’t understand how this place has a 5-star rating — my experience was the complete opposite. The customer service at Sienna Ace Hardware is absolutely terrible. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was bothering the staff just by being there. The owner and employees come off as incredibly cocky and dismissive, like they’re doing you a favor just by acknowledging your presence.
Their store hours are also ridiculous. I’ve shown up multiple times during what’s supposed to be “open” hours, only to find the doors locked or lights off with no explanation. It’s completely unreliable.
Overall, this place has a bad attitude and worse service. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — somewhere that actually values...
