Bap Bento is a little jewel sitting in the Missouri City. The decor is modern and clean, and the food came out super fast. It's the best fast "non-fast" food I've had for a long time, and you can tell that the chef knows what he's doing. I've tried several dishes on the menu and would love to try more, but I keep ordering the same dishes because I love them so much.
Popcorn chicken-- this is homemade and fresh made daily. My daughter doesn't eat any fried chicken, yes the typical picky eater in your family, and she loves it. One of the reasons we are here 3 times a week.
Bacon fried Rice--we order every time we go there. Every Chinese/asian restaurant has it. I think it best showcases the chef's skill, because it's so simple to make. But each ingredient in the Rice requires different cut and cooking time, and also the rice should not be sticky which is why a lot people use leftover rice. But Bap Bento uses freshly daily made rice, and every ingredient in there is cooked perfectly. Thumb up to the chef.
Kimchi beef--I honest don't know what this dish is called. There's only three things in there: kimchi, tofu, and thinly sliced beef (like the hotpot kind). It's my favorite.
Cumin Chicken--I don't order this every time because I still prefer the kimchi beef, but it's excellent. The chicken is very tender and the flavor is amazing.
I've also tried the pork cutlet, shrimp tempura, and chicken wings. Again, cooked perfectly.
The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are very generous. Most of the dishes come with 2 different sizes, M and L. And M is more than enough for 1 person. Bap Bento also serves party trays. It's almost like a gourmet restaurant with fast food prices, and the food comes out super fast. How can you ask for more...
Thank you for opening up such an amazing spot! We...
Read moreAmbiance: Bap Bento is beautifully decorated with earthy flower displays and calm lighting. We came for a casual date night and it was perfect!
Service: We were greeted upon entry and the cashier showed us how to order via the kiosk. I liked the kiosk because it had detailed photos of the food and explanations of what was in each dish.
Food: We are big eaters and like to try new foods, so we ordered a lot! We tried shrimp tempura, fried dumplings, cream cheese Mandu, large Bap bento fried noodle, and a large plate (Medium spice hot and sour fried rice with sweet and sour chicken and chicken gangjeong), and lemonades. Everything was cooked fresh, not super greasy, and it was delicious. We got full fast and the bento boxes made it convenient to bring leftovers home!
Overall, we enjoyed our experience, appreciated the great service and reasonable prices. This is going to be our new familygo-to for Asian...
Read moreThis is a great spot for quick and tasty Asian cuisine. Ordering is done through a kiosk, which took a little getting used to, but after the first time, I'm sure it will be easier to navigate. My husband ordered the Soy Garlic Chicken (which was delicious), the Chicken Teriyaki (which neither of us loved), and the beef fried rice. I tried the sweet and sour chicken (which was good) and the green bean beef (which was just okay—the green beans didn’t taste like green beans).
Overall, it’s a solid option for fast Asian food, and I’d choose it over Panda Express. However, it’s definitely on the fast-food side, so if you’re looking for a more traditional dine-in experience, this may not be the place. The flavors were enjoyable, but since I try to limit fast food, I’d save this spot for...
