Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen - Sienna Plantation — Restaurant in Missouri City

This was my second time eating from this restaurant in 2 months. The first time (December 2020) I ordered the grilled vegetable sandwich and spaghetti and meatballs as a carry out. The sandwich was barely edible due to the vegetables being undercooked. The spaghetti had no taste. A little pricey for nasty food. Total=$30 for these 2 items. The meatballs tasted like the meatballs from the children’s spaghettio’s scan. The atmosphere was unsettling during a pandemic. When I walked in, 1 of the 4 employees present pulled up their mask. In fact, the manager was totally maskless leaning over the counter chatting with another employee whose mask was pulled beneath his chin and they were standing a couple of feet from the food pickup counter. The second time was February 2021. I ordered a medium cheese pizza and 1 order of Calamari for carry out. Total cost = $32. The manager was seated at a table in dining area near the food pickup counter without a mask. The employee working the pizza oven had his mask pulled down to his chin. The food was horrible. The pizza was cold and undercooked. The calamari was very chewy. The customer service was poor. Took a few tries to get my order right over the phone. Was a long wait for the food, and several employees were gathered behind the counter chatting. The food was over priced. I recommend the more popular pizza restaurants where you get a carry out pizza for $6. It tastes better than the $16...

We used to eat here fairly frequently as the food used to be consistently good. Unfortunately since the pandemic we had not been back in a while and when we returned to eat there again last week, everything had changed for the worse. First, table side waiter service is no longer available - you have to order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table. You pay up front. Not a huge issue unless there's something wrong with your order... Second, we ordered a pizza and a kids meal. Kids meal she ordered was a fettuccine alfredo - it came with chicken which I did not ask for and I got charged extra for. Third and worst of all, the pizza we ordered came out and parts of it were lukewarm and the entire pizza was a soggy mess. It did not even taste that good - and we've had this pizza many times in the past.

First time eating here and will most likely be my last. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The service was terrible staff was very inattentive and nonchalant. The food was even worse. Not all of the food though just the main course the appetizer was ok although the lemon pepper wings were simply covered in lemon pepper seasoning to the point that the ranch was necessary. The real kicker was the chicken I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich that looked nothing like the picture and had no flavor whatsoever unless flavorless was what they were aiming for. I literally couldn’t eat it was just that terrible. My wife had a pizza with chicken on it and basically had the same flavorless issue and the spinach was just thrown on top instead of cooked with the pizza. She had one slice and decided it wasn’t worth the torcher of eating more. Worst of all they expects you to pay for nasty tasteless food. Had to pay them and then walk to subway to get food that was actually edible. Do yourself a favor and steer way clear...
