Iāve seen this exquisite tea place on social media being recommended to me a couple times. The grand opening was on July 20, 2024 but unfortunately I couldnāt make it. Thankfully, I was free the next day and could finally make it to a place, you could only dream of. As I walked in, I noticed the long line but that just made me more thrilled because of the hype this place was attracting. Inside of Tao Tao Tea the place was picturesque. I was blown away at the modern look and design. This place made me feel right at home. As the line got shorter I noticed an employee with a beautiful smile on her face. She look happy to be there and was on top of her game. Honestly, she was handling everything like a champ, props to her. Personally, for being the second day of opening the employees were amazing and struck out of the crowd. When order you get a buy one get one free for the rose fruit tea latte, which I in fact did not get but I look forward to coming back and trying it out. I order a strawberry smoothie with 15% sugar and let me tell you for a smoothie it was excellent. I felt like I was going to float to the moon, matter a fact maybe even Jupiter. The person who I ordered with got a British peach fruit tea with 50% sugar and damn. was it good. The employees once again were nice and pleased to have us there. They also have a membership you could join for completely free and even get a discount. Personally, I am going to need that because this place is so magnificent I might just go into debt here. By far this is one of my happy places. I recommend coming here for hanging out, getting a refresher or just a grab and go. If you decide to dine in the aesthetics please you enough. I mean what more could you wish for, seriously. Also, one thing I forgot to mention the outfits were top tier. The employees had very cute work hats and shirt. I wish I could get one for myself honestly. Anyways at the end of the day I recommend this place to all. It is now my top tier destinations for refreshers. I hope to coming back there soon and handing them my live savings for those die for drinks. If I could rate this more the 5 stars, it would brake the scale. I LOVE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here a couple of times now, once prior to the grand opening and the other after grand opening. I hear what people are saying about the wait times, lines, online/app issues, etc. but this is a place that JUST opened and like all small businesses will go through some growing pains. With that out of the way, Iām just so glad we have a legit bubble tea place here this side of TX6. For too long I have had to venture to Sugar Land to get even half decent bubble tea! Well no more!! This place is definitely Taiwanese style milk tea with an emphasis on more floral/ārealā teas (rose, earl gray, jasmine, oolong, etc.) so itās definitely unique compared to Tea House, Sharetea, Ding Tea, etc. While those other places DO have these floral options, i think most would agree that these places thrive more on variety of flavors and cater more towards the casual tea/bubble tea crowd. And neither way is better/worse, theyāre just different and how lucky are we to have the option to choose! Iāve had the Earl Grey Milk Tea and the Ceylon Milk Tea and both were fantastic! I did prefer the Ceylon Milk Tea, as I realized im not a fan of floral teas but I am excited to try their variety of other tea bases š. The actual boba/bubbles could be better but the egg pudding was delightful. The staff is nice (still learning) and pretty helpful. Be aware, thereās not much seating inside so itās not a place where you should post up and spend the day studying/working remotely from. But the space is clean and once the hype dies down, I think theyāll be plenty of space to accommodate patrons during normal times.
To summarize⦠nice clean place. Cool variety of teas/milk teas and bases. Staff friendly in my opinion but a bit scattered right now due to JUST opening. Give this business some grace and just try it. It is actually LEGIT. Not the best or anything, but Iām just so happy we have anything remotely close to their quality this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friend hyped me up about this place and we decided to make a visit during opening weekend, and unfortunately, the conclusion: mediocre tea flavors with really disappointing service. We tried the "Michelin" rated boba tea and expected more, but other than some freshness from the rose fragrance, it really didn't earn a unique spot in our hearts. What ended up being more memorable was the disappointing service that we received. One of the drinks we ordered after finishing our initial rounds to bring home to try wasn't prepared over 20 minutes later when the place was half empty, and when we went up to check, we found that they lost our ticket or maybe gave our drink accidentally to another customer. Instead of being apologetic and immediately making a new one, the staff stood around looking directionless until I asked whether they plan on correcting the mistake. It's apparent that there may still be some training needed to bring the place up to competition with more established boba joints, especially since the location is also a bit out of the way, so you have to earn a great reputation to entice more customers to make the drive to visit. I hope that things are more mature by the next time I visit, which likely won't be anytime soon.
I will say though that I did enjoy the Tiffany blue interior design and how the space was maximized for socializing as well as efficiency...
