I received a gift card from my place of employment the reason why I decided to try Jason's Deli. The restaurant was clean and had a very pleasant and friendly environment. However, the cleanliness of the employee was not satisfactory. The young man was wearing gloves that he wiped the counter off with and handled receipts and the broom handle. After my order was placed, he proceeded to fix my sandwhich while wearing those same gloves. I jumped out of my seat and asked if he could please change his gloves and start over fixing me a fresh sand which, and the manager and the cashier was standing there when I asked the young man to do so. However, he fixed a fresh sand which but he proceeded to give me the one that he had already started and that was contaminated with germs already from the previous dirty gloves. I think he got upset because I asked him to start over and once the manager turned her back, the young man placed the newly fixed sandwhich to the side hiding it and gave me the one he had fixed already. Luckily I saw that, but I didn't make a fuss about it because I didn't want to upset anyone that was fixing my food. On the other hand, I already did because of what he had done. This was my first and last visit to this deli because if that happened this one time, this means that it happens often but not caught, not only that, this was by far the dryest and tasteless sandwhich that I've ever eaten! Firehouse Subs, McAllister's Deli, or even Momma Goldberg's are my usual spots! Thanks but...
Read moreI have been to a good amount of Jason’s Deli locations around the country and this location, by far, is the best! The manager and the staff are always pleasant and helpful, going out of their way to serve their patrons well. Last night I was getting carry out from this location in Mobile, AL and there were no apple slices on the salad bar ( it was fairly late in the evening and with COVID, there are shortages of things sometimes) so I thought maybe they were out, but asked anyways if they might be out of them. The lady working on the salad bar said she thought they might be out but said she would go check. She found that they still had a small amount behind the prep counter and gave me some. I could tell that she was trying to pick out the nicest looking ones also, which was both kind and generous of her. I also happened to ask the manager about what type of hummus they use because it looked so delicious and he went and got a container of it to show me the brand; just one more way they go the extra mile. The portion sizes are very generous and the food is always so incredible at this location. I highly recommend you go here to eat! Also, as a side note, the free ice cream/soft serve is one more added tasty treat that I really enjoy and their machine works great! Thank you so much, all you fabulous people at the Airport Blvd. Mobile Jason’s Deli! I work hard for my paycheck and always feel like spending my money here is not wasted, but a great tasting healthy fun experience. I will be...
Read moreMy fiancé and I finally tried Jason's Deli after having been recommended it multiple times. We ordered pickup online and the staff and experience was friendly and quick, no issues there. However, the food was absolutely disgusting. I am embarrassed to have spent nearly $20 on our meal. My fiancé described her chicken as "wet, kind of old tasting, like the chicken from Subway" and the croissant as tasting like "it came from Walmart." Similarly, my meatball sub was mostly flavorless, cold (keeping in mind we only live 5 minutes away) and just tasted like cheap frozen meatballs. What was absolutely unacceptable, however, was the Mac & cheese. It honest-to-god looked and tasted like it came out of a 80¢ box of Kraft Mac & Cheese. I was literally in shock when I opened the container and saw it. The portion sizes were also much smaller than you would expect from similar deli-style restaurants... Although considering the quality of the food, this was the least of our complaints.
Needless to say, neither of us enjoyed our meal and it was an absolute disappointed. I am frustrated that we spend $20 on food that looked and tasted lower quality than Subway or even McDonald's. If you are in the area, skip Jason's deli and walk (literally) next door to 7Spice Grocery and Grill. A sandwich there is cheaper, infinity better in taste and quality, and comes...
