My sister and I went here to eat dinner and ordered salmon sashimi, steak hibachi, and edamame. Overall, the salmon sashimi and steak hibachi were decent, but the edamame was where it went wrong. As we were eating the edamame, my sister ate one and notice something off about it after putting it in her mouth and chewing it, she spit it out and opened it and saw some sort of bug/worm in it. She immediately felt sick and disgusted that something like that was in her mouth and/or near her mouth. We told the server and nothing was really done about the situation. I believe something should have been done about the situation because someone can seriously get sick. This is irresponsible and no one took responsibility or compensated us for the mistake that happened to our food. This is no way to run an establishment. My sister could not stop spitting stuff out because it is gross to find a bug in your food that you have been eating and who knows if it had been in any previous edamame that we have eaten. I then felt sick to think that I could have also eaten it as well unknowingly. This was my first time here and will be my last experience here. (If you zoom in the edamame, you can see the bug/worm and some of the spit...
Read moreI’ll start with this, the food was decent and that about the only part that is positive in this review. Me and my family had reservations for a graduation dinner which was set for 830. We arrived at 810 and was told they couldn’t seat till 830, we wait. We get to 830 and they delayed as if room was immediately available even though they had just seated a large party right before us. We didn’t get seated till after 930.
The server took approximately 15-20 minutes to just get our orders. After we ordered drinks, he came back 20 minutes later but with missing and wrong drinks. The waiter turns out to be 16 and can’t bring alcohol himself so waiting continues. Even when trying to get help from another obviously older waiter, she informed us “she wasn’t our waiter” and walked away.
Folks, I could go on but I’ll just say this... do not bring a party bigger that 2 to this location. Service was bad and overall we ended up staying almost 4 hours at this place (literally leaving at 1152 at night). They need a serious overhaul. I’ve never been to a place where I was leaving with the folks who worked there. Do better and just be honest with your...
Read moreMy husband and I went here on a date. We tried the Hibachi and the sushi. We give them 1 star for the Hibachi. We give them 5 stars for the sushi. We give them a 5 for customer service although there were a few things wrong they graciously corrected the issues and even gave us a discount. The average is 3 stars. We tried the Las Vegas sushi roll. It was all cooked. It was yummy and there was enough for us to share. The Hibachi came with salad, soup, fried rice and vegetables. The ginger sauce was just right. The yum yum sauce was almost whitish in color and tasted very "mayonaisey and oniony". The ginger dressing on the salad did not taste like ginger instead it had a very oniony taste. The eel sauce for the sushi was tasty. The spicy mayo tasted very much like mayonaise. I had hibachi calamari. The calamari was gummy. The rice was on the crunchy side and lacking in flavor. The vegetables were crunchy too. The miso (onion) soup was very greasy and had a meaty smell. There was also no pasta. At Shogun you get all these yummy noodles. If you want sushi go to Osaka. If you want Hibachi Go to Shogun on...
