My daughter and I went to this restaurant today, upon entering the restaurant the workers were nonchalant, and didn’t seem to be enthused that we were there, and did not speak. I spoke to them first. The female worker was working on refilling containers behind the counter. I had a seat and waited until she was finished. She had no sense of urgency while completing the task. While we waited, a white young lady came into the restaurant and was greeted warmly, by the same lady who disregarded us while she took her time doing other tasks instead of assisting me and my daughter. We were still sitting and waiting while she served someone else over us. The logical thing for the clerk to do would be apologize for making a customer wait and verbally let them know you were ready to take their order. Me and my daughter stood up and walked out the establishment they didn't say one word to stop us or anything. We ended up driving down to JJ Tea House by providence and received service with no issue. If this is the way, they are going to treat people who patronize their restaurants I won’t be returning, and I’ll definitely make sure I spread the word. We were the only people in the lobby at the time, so they definitely knew we hadn't ordered anything. They didn't...
Read moreI got a mocha coffee. The drink itself had a pretty good taste. However, it just wasn't hot enough. It was only slightly warm. So I told them and they microwaved it instead if just fixing another one. The staff was friendly and somewhat helpful. The owner was there and he tried to answer a question I was asking but actually came off as being in a hurry and like if I was just holding him up from other things. So I turned my attention to another person behind the counter and asked her my question and she was happy to answer. Parking was tight. They are located off a very busy service/side road. And to park it's a Sharpe turn into the drive/parking lot. When she told me the price of my one mocha coffee I almost passed out. Compared to other places that are what I would consider better places, the price was too much. It was almost 8$ for a 16oz coffee that was less than Luke warm. Needless to say, I been once and...
Read moreMy daughter and I wanted to try bubble tea or boba or whatever, so the wife talked us into going to Kurabi's. Small shop, but very busy. I ordered a Pina colada smoothie with boba pearls, daughter ordered a strawberry smoothie with boba pearls and my wife ordered something that I can't remember.....with pearls. They're were surprisingly good. The Pina colada smoothie tasted like it should have and the pearls gave it an added texture. They were odd, at first. They're soft and chewy, but don't have much of a flavor. We all loved our drinks and will revisit the store again.
If you go to experience the pearls, make you get one of the bigger straws. Oh, and start drinking it slowly. I did experience brain freeze and my first pearl caught me off guard when it hit the back of my throat. After that, you kind of expect them to come...
