Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Modesto

Update: It looks like it changed owners. The new manager has dirty clothes on and handles the money and looked like going back to making the pizzas without handwash or gloves. The employees looked ok still when they are there, but I don't want to order here now if he is going to be touching my pizza and you never know. Old review:The inside looks clean. The employees appear clean with one exception once of a cook who had pizza ingredients on his shirt but it is understandable. Good customer service. Online prices good and pizza tastes good. Sometimes the bottom gets overcooked, they need to lower oven temperature or speed up the conveyer so it stays in there a minute less. I called about an order and the manager refused to take accountability that the order is in fact wrongly made. Basically said because I used a coupon I can’t be compensated but here’s a two litter soda. This pizza is as thin as a tortilla chip. “No They are exactly the same.” They are definitely not. One has toppings and still isn’t as thick as the other. How hard is it to say yeah maybe we messed up sorry about that. The G in AnG calls it the worst pizza she ever ate, especially for the price. Three extra large pies were $83.00. The A in AnG was not pleased either. We fed 8 people with plenty to spare but it just wasn't good. Crust was way too doughy. As a native New Yorker, I am picky about my pizza, and G is an Army brat and has traveled the world so we are a bit of pizza snobs, but Papa John's was just not going to make anybody happy.
