Monet is a culinary genius and artist. As soon as you walk in, the energy of the restaurant is welcoming in such a good way that has been lost in most places of business and society. Monet takes the time to know his customers. I see him greet many by name and with a kind smile whenever I'm there. He treats his employees and partnered couriers with respect and courtesy. And the people seek him out to talk with him, as he genuinely gets to know you as a person. The restaurant is always clean and the menu is easy to navigate. If there is anything you are not familiar with or just don't know, Monet truly enjoys telling and showing you what things are and how they are made. He's very knowledgeable about the differences of the americanized palate. The food itself just gets better. Everything is fresh and made to order. Let me be clear; as fresh as made to order can get. It's an open kitchen concept and everything is prepared and cooked in front of you. Again, if you don't know what something is, just ask! You will enjoy that conversation. Also, for those who want something familiar, there are menu items such as burgers and gyros. Honestly the best meal I've had in a while. I recommend the chicken shawarma (I got mine on a pita). What's amazing about this is that every bite is as flavorful as the first. The flavor doesn't mellow. It's both familiar and "something different". Seriously, just try it, you'll see for...
Read moreI went here a few days ago with my wife for the first time. The food is delicious!! I had the steak shawarma with French fries, and my wife had Baba ghanoush, Falafel, and pita for dipping. The steak shawarma was very moist, had excellent Mediterranean seasoning, and the tahini on the side brought all the flavors together. I sampled my wife’s meal too, and the Baba ghanoush was so rich and creamy with a very good olive oil mixed into to it. The falafel was fried perfectly on the outside and the inside tasted great! The pita was great as well. We went around lunch time, and there was just one person there doing it all, which I believe he was the owner. There was a little bit of a wait, but I have to say for a one man show he was getting people in and out relatively quickly. He seemed like a very humble, welcoming, personable, and hard working man. I asked him if I could take a picture of the fresh meat he put on the spit, and he said yes if course. I wanted to show that they actually use fresh meat, whereas some places do not. Please stop by and support this man, he’s a great person and makes delicious food. One other thing too, it’s a very relaxed atmosphere too. One last thing, I keep thinking of more great things from the experience lol…the portion sizes were large. It really felt like you were getting your...
Read moreFirst time coming here from an Oak Lawn area reference. So we walked in. My girlfriend immediately says she needs to use the washroom. Ok. Seems simple. She then walks out and says, ill wait. Wait a minute, why?
She says, both bathrooms are m/f and both looked like someone pissed on the seat. Im not taking anything away for that, but she did need to go to Lowes to pee (after) as it was extremely clean at Lowes, thx Lowes.
So wheres the food at?
My GF ordererd a chicken Shwarma bowl. It was OK but lacking.
The chicken was dry and waiting for us to order. Btw. If you need napkins, they only had cocktail napkins like at a bar, 4x4. Next, I had the steak shwarma. It tasted like a burrito. The steak was sitting waiting for us to order as well. Definitely dry too.
We went to pay and it was $33 roughly. As we got to our seats the only man working there yelled out, hey, I forgot to charge you for the 12oz diet Coke.
I walked up and asked, how much for the can, He said, 3.50.
Really? For a can of Coke Zero?
I'm not sure if he was looking for an extra tip but, is what it is tho.
Fyi. Hummus was awesome. Needs more PITA tho. Take home whatever is left.
Overall my...
