China Cafe — Restaurant in Monroe

First time I ate here I was with my fiance and daughter and we thought we were going to be able to sit down and enjoy a meal together but when we walked in we realized it was take out only so we told the nice lady at the window that we would visit another time because we Were looking to sit down and eat. She quickly opens the door and says"Come in we have one table we sit at between customers but I will clean it off and you can enjoy a meal with your beautiful family".. I was really moved by her thoughtfulness and kind spirit. We agreed sat down and ordered.Then we were served our meal by the owners son. He is the cutest, smartest little boy I have ever seen. He answers the phone,takes to go orders runs credit cards on the machine like a seasoned pro and he can't be a day over 6. By the way the food was delicious and the little guys service and attention to detail was the icing on the cake. Over all it was a great dining experience... as we got up to leave I tried to tip the little guy 20 bucks but he got embarrassed & would not take it.. so I gave it to his mother and told her to please make sure he gets it because he was one of the hardest working and best waiters I have ever had... She lovingly called him over and said something to him in their first language and his face just lit up and he ran over and have us a great big appreciative hug. They were extremely busy with to go orders but both went out of their way to accommodate us and I will never forget it. You just don't find that kind of service these days anywhere. If you have never been here you need to stop in and give them a try... You will not be disappointed I...

I visited this restaurant tonight around 6 p.m. a young teenager girl took my order. I ordered the BBQ Spare Ribs platter, which includes fried rice & an egg roll. I added shrimp to my fried rice for $2.95. I also ordered 8 count of crab rangoon & wonton soup. My total was $20.95. I thought this was a good price for all the food I ordered. The ribs were boneless, hard, chewy & very SALTY. I could not eat them at all! The shrimp fried rice was DELICIOUS & tasted fresh I did NOT receive my egg roll that comes with combo platter which was very disappointing! The wonton soup was very flavorful & the crispy topping was crunchy. The crab rangoon were THE BEST by far that I have ever eaten ANYWHERE! Overall, I am satisfied with the shrimp fried rice, wonton soup & crab rangoon! These I will definitely consider a favorite of this place. I am NOT satisfied with the BBQ boneless spare ribs & the fact that my egg roll was MISSING. I regret paying $20 for food that I could not eat & was not there (missing). Considering the things I did like, I will give the place another chance & avoid the ribs. I would recommend China Cafe only if you do not get the ribs & CHECK YOUR ORDER...

Dishonest business owners. I worked there 3 years and my check was short every time. I was paid late. Lied to constantly. Customers were lied to and I was told to tell lies but I refused and would get in trouble for chosing to be honest to customers. Delivery drivers/servers don't get to keep their tips and you will be told they get it, it's a lie. They sometimes give certain ppl higher prices bc of their race and some people get lower prices or free stuff bc of their race also. I could list the hundreds of dishonest and crooked business practices but I won't say them all. Health inspector comes in and has them change a bunch of things and as soon as the inspector leaves they change everything back. Food taste good but by getting it you are supporting a very crooked business that puts on a nice friendly face but in reality they don't care about you or anyone, only themselves...
