Podnuh's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Monroe

It was a first visit, but it will not be the last visit. Friendly atmosphere. And the front counter servers were also friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions. The food portions were pretty good. We ate in, but ended up asking for a take home plate. We should have asked to be served with the take home plates even though we ate in the restaurant. That is what we will do the next time we go. The only thing that was a draw back, was the meat is not seasoned. That is probably good for most. But we like our meat seasoned. Marinating in cheap Italian dressing is a start. But the Bar-b-que sauce was tasty, so that and the smokyness of the meat made it all good. The sides were delicious. And I recommend this restaurant to anyone that eats and loves ribs, even though they had more than ribs. There was brisket, chicken, and I think I heard someone order Turkey. Just...

Having a terrible experience w/ dis place. Few days ago I ordered thru the drive thru a 3 rib plate, when I got the food home which wuz like 10 mins later, the ribs wuz very hard n crusty so I immediately called the manager who had served me the rib ( he said that he wuz replace the food just come back anytime after 3 when he's there, HE KNEW THAT HE HAD DONE WRONGLY, which I'm guessing is why he told me I could only get the food from him. So now when I coming back an the manager over him hasn't left yet n hear the story, I'm forced to drive back home to get the FOOD THAT WUZNT EDIBLE ( I'm doing dis jus to prove my point because it's really not dis serious to me n it shudnt have been for the store's owner) . Chrispy Ribs. It happened once before. I was done with the place until a friend asked me to pick yp some ribs. They insisted on Podnuhs US 165 as it was close and despite my warning that I had a bad experience with this place. On Saturday Feb 24, 2024 I purchased yet more bad ribs from this place. The Ribs looked to be ok from. beyond the plexiglass window as the server sliced them with ease. Carried the ribs to friends house within 20 mins. Now they are a believer. The ribs that were not too crispy appeared to be frost bit when they were cooked. I was never certain as to what Podnuh's considers as fresh or quality meats but it's certain they have lost ...
