We ordered to go a couple times and the entire to go experience is awful. Food is never ready when promised. They don’t care about packing it quick to get it to you hot. They leave it sitting back there half packed getting cold while packing other orders instead of focusing on one until it’s done. They’re not friendly in to go either. Steaks were not cooked as requested, too rare or too overcooked.
The lunch hamburger steak is delicious and their Brussel sprouts are addicting.
I don’t know why but all their alcoholic drinks are sweet! Very sweet. Even a simple vodka tonic I watched the bartender make in front of me. Hard to drink sweet drinks.
Ribeye was delicious, loved the seasoning. The chicken wraps were great. Fries were basic.
Salad and baked potato lunch was great. Fluffy loaded potato, a little light in the toppings but was good.
The shrimp appetizer was good, a bit spicy, and a good portion to share or eat as a meal like we did.
Lunch choose two is a great deal. Salad and soup or salad and a side. Menu doesn’t say you can get a side instead of soup but server told me so I got the baked potato side and salad one time.
The tortilla soup is very good.
Delicious fresh brewed tea. The sweet tea is delicious but very sweet so I got it half and half next refill.
The lunch servers are phenomenal- great personality, friendly, and attentive.
There were customers in the restaurant at lunch with their dog and that is so gross and against health code. They walked out right past our table! I don’t want someone’s dog’s hair wafting into my food! Or someone’s dog panting past my table! They need to handle that asap!! That’s against health code since they serve food. I took off a...
Read moreDrive to the one on East Sam Houston instead. Firstly the waitress was barely around. She came to take our drinks, take our food order and then once more. Other people brought the drinks and food. Food took forever to come out and it wasn’t even busy when we went. She wasn’t very attentive especially when my food was wrong. As someone who has gone to Longhorns at other locations many times, I know what my order should taste like. I always get the same thing when I go which is the flo’s filet, strawberry margarita on the rocks, okra and mash potato’s. The flo’s filet was FLAT! If you know a flo’s filet it’s suppose to be a thick round cut of the tender part of the cow. It was flat and well done when I asked for medium. I told the waiter and she said it did look flat and took it away and since the food took forever I said I didn’t want another. The okra and mash potato’s was the same as others so ate those. They ended up bringing me another “flo’s filet” which again was flat but cooked medium but at that point I already got full on my mash and okra. The drink did not taste like a margarita. It might as well haven been strawberry lemonade. Which for $15 I want some taste of liquour. Again I get the same time every time I go to the East Sam Houston location so I know what it should taste like. I was still charged for my incorrect flat steak and won’t be back. I’d rather drive 30 minutes to get what I pay for and...
Read moreWe went to this location for my husband’s birthday. Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed (understandable since it looked like only three servers and a manager were covering the floor). My husband ordered a ribeye, I ordered a filet, and my kids ordered kids’ sirloins—all cooked medium.
When the food arrived, I was fairly certain that my steak was not a filet. The waitress told me she could “not confirm or deny” what cut it was and said to ask the manager. The manager came over and told me that it was indeed a filet, explaining that they use the whole tenderloin so the filets can look different. Still, it looked identical to my kids’ sirloins.
Once I cut into it, it was medium-well with well-done edges. At the same time, I noticed my daughter’s kids’ sirloin plate actually had a filet on it—which explained why mine looked like the others. I pointed this out to the waitress but said there was no need to bring the manager again. He still came back, insisted my steak was a filet, and admitted only that it may have been overcooked. He did offer to re-cook it, but at that point, I didn’t want to send it back.
I wasn’t looking for anything to be comped, but it was disappointing that they couldn’t simply acknowledge the mix-up. We paid via the QR code and left. I usually love the LongHorn Steakhouse chain, and this was my third visit to the Baytown location, but unfortunately, this experience has me...
