Brought my dad and family here for a nice lunch on veterans day.
They have cute set up but lack tables with shade. They have 4 tables that are have plenty of protection from the elements. They have 6 round picnic tables with umbrellas but they do not provide much protection from the sun. The round tables are not very comfortable but this os more for anyone who may have back issues.
There is one waitress that is taking care of all of the tables including cleaning the tables. I have to give her credit. She is really trying but they should have another person or two helping her.
Service was extremely slow. It took 18 minutes from the time we were seated just to get a menu. The waitress forgot about our soup, place setting, refills. It took a while for her to take our drink and food order but again, this is because she is the only one taking care of everyone. She tried her best but really needs help outside.
The food was good but would have been better if it was served hot.
The waitress was very nice and apologized for experience.
I would recommend ordering from here for takeout.
Update: It's unfortunate that the owner commented the way he did. My reviews always take into account the pandemic and are fair (my reviews speak for themselves) The purpose of reviews is to let someone know what to expect and to let others know about your experience. It is also used to point out areas of opportunity for improvements and to recognize those who provide great service. Also, to help promote business during this pandemic. There is no ill will in my review. Just the facts and my experience...
Read moreThis place is off of Whittier Blvd. You can't see it from the main drag, but it's worth a visit. The service is excellent and quick. My friend and I shared an appetizer sampler. It was run of the mill, nothing spectacular, except the marinera sauce was delicious. They brought us garlic bread and some marinated tomatoes to enjoy. The garlic bread was somewhat dry and the tomatoes could have used more vinegar. When our food came I sampled my friend's dish which was shrimp and fettuccini. Nothing spectacular, just basic good food. I ordered risotto. It was a little salty for my taste, but had good flavor and good texture. It would have been nice if it had been served with sausage. The highlight of the dinner was dessert. We shared a spumoni slice of pie. It was amazing. Just enough crunch to offset the smoothness of the ice cream. I will come back to this place, just for the pie. It was a good place to eat if you are a local and going through the area. It's also a good date spot. The food was decent. I didn't give it 5 stars because there were some things that could have been improved. I recently went back and discovered their stuffed pasta shells. Best thing I've had there so far. It was so good I went back a second time for the same dish. I really loved the caesar salad. A little more tart than other caesar salads, but thats what...
Read moreVisited here last night based on Google reviews as am here on holiday from UK. The premises is very ornate and authentic inside. On entry we were met by a warm and friendly group of staff and immediately seated (no pre book) despite the reasturant being busy (8pm). The food is delicious, a fantastic choice. We had lasagne, spaghetti with meatballs and chicken fettuccine Alfredo and all meals were delicious and hot with generous portions. Included was a choice of starter, we had home made minestrone soup which, in all fairness, was probably enough of a meal in its own right, accompanied by the bottomless garlic bread, both of which were lovely and tasty. Unlimited soft drinks too and the staff were attentive to the point that not one glass was fully drained before being refilled. In the background was live music, a guitarist and double bass duo which added to the ambience. All of this fantastic food fr 3 adults at a bargain $52. This sort of service costs twice this amount in the UK and I can not recommend this place high...
