I was here in town visiting a friend, and came to the bakery because it smelled nice and looked so good. I came in 15min before closing, and I had already checked out 5min before closing and tried to go out the front door from where I had come in. But it was locked. A girl came up and I thought she was going to help open the door for me, but she rudely told me to go out from the back.
What?!
You want me to go out from the back, walk ALL THE WAY AROUND THE BUILDING to get to where I need to go? (Mama Lu's a few doors down with access only from front). I asked her if she could just open it and she said no she can't because they're closed. NO GIRL ur not closed, it's 3min to close, and I see a sign that says that doors must remain unlocked if there are still customers inside. It's a safety thing too. So she really walked all the way to me, not to help, but to take her time to tell me that she won't open the door. And the rest of the girls were just sitting playing on their phones behind the register, not even cleaning or sweeping or anything.
The bread was so appealing but after being treated like that, it left a bad taste in my mouth so I didn't bother eating it and gave it away to a homeless person who'd enjoy it more than I would. Horrible service!
Looks like they got bad reviews on service and never bothered to fix it. Good product but bad service will not help your...
Read moreI am a regular customer here. I have discovered this bakery by accident and like the fact that they claim Taiwanese-style bakery.
Recently I have experienced three (3) incidents related to their bakery quality. Most recent one was yesterday, I was eating a "TASTELESS (or sugar-FREE)" cream-fulling bakery that I bought before CNY. That's right, there were no sugar added to the filling. I bought three and threw away two of them after took a few bites, I still have one left in the freezer. Another incident was the herb-infused cake was semi-raw (half-way cooked) & another time there was no filling (yes, they gave me a replacement later after I have told them), etc.. This gave a hint that who ever the baker was...was absent minded.
This morning, I have called and asked to speak to the store manager and tried to report the incident by giving the name of the bakery. Much to my surprise, their manager appeared have NO idea about the bakery by giving me a different name of the bakery (cream vs. shredded pork).
Through my interactions/patrons, none of their staffs were Taiwanese.
Throughout multiple-decades experiences, I have NEVER had such frequent poor bakery quality. This is by far, the WORST. I will...
Read moreIf you love freshly made Taiwanese bread, cakes, and pastries, this bakery in the San Gabriel Valley is a must-visit. Their cakes are fluffy and moist, with frosting that’s smooth and never overly sweet—unlike many American or Korean cakes, which can be too sugary. The balance is perfect every time, and when fruit toppings are used, you can tell they carefully select the best fruits for an extra-special touch.
Their Taiwanese breads and pastries are equally impressive—fluffy, soft, and delicious without being overly salty or heavy. The sandwiches are also fantastic, making this bakery my go-to spot for both sweet and savory favorites.
The bakery is well managed and clearly takes pride in its offerings. Inside, there’s an instant noodle ramen shop where you can make your own meal on the go with plenty of seating, plus a coffee and boba shop for a complete experience.
If you’re in Alhambra, San Gabriel, Rosemead, or even nearby LA, this place is worth the trip. If you’re spending your money on food, spend it right—this bakery...
