Not a review of the food but of improper training for staff surrounding dogs in the bakery.
A woman today was in the bakery with a service dog in training for the blind It was not a trained service animal. The handler appeared to be a volunteer or a dog trainer and kept feeding the animal treats in the store. It was not well behaved.
I witnessed a woman have to leave due to an anaphylactic dog allergy that she announced. No one questioned the woman with the dog in the bakery. No one made accomodations for the woman who had to leave. The staff stared and no one did anything except allow the woman with the dog to stay in the store. I watched the woman with the allergies wait outside while the woman with the dog was served. No one helped her, stepped in, or handled the situation. It was hard to watch a human have to wait outside because someone couldn't leave their dog outside.
What kind of world are we living in?
When did dogs become more important than a disabled person's right to be in a store?
I have a dog at home and would never bring it in a place that serves food. There are legal questions that can be asked of anyone who brings a dog in a business if they claim it is a service dog. It is easy to find these questions online, but nothing was done and I would have expected the staff to question the woman and make accommodations for the allergic/disabled woman. I'm disappointed and will hesitate to return unless I know this issue is taken seriously and a sign is placed on the dog that states no dogs...
Read moreThis is one of the best gf bakeries I’ve been to. I’ve been to many throughout north, central and southern CA and NYC. This gets the award for best breakfast sandwich and best cinnamon roll. They were not dry or crumbly or hard like most gf textured things are. They don’t do fancy pastries but the basics like muffins, biscuits, rolls etc were awesome. The lemon poppyseed muffin was so amazingly moist and incredibly tart. They have really nailed the texture on all their products. You must get the breakfast sandwich. I went 3 days in a row to try each flavor of biscuit. My fave combo was the cheddar biscuit with tomato, griddled cheese, and onion. Amazing. And the price is also amazing. Things aren’t crazy or overpriced like other gf bakeries I’ve been to. Whenever I’m in this area I will be stopping by. Also a Christian business with scripture on the wall and a place for prayer cards from their...
Read moreWe were traveling & ordered a gluten free strawberry shortcake with a special instruction to go light on the cream topping. We also ordered two types of vegan cookies. These items were for a surprise birthday party we were hosting in another city for our daughter-in-law, who has celiac disease and is soy free & mostly dairy free. She is very allergic to gluten. I was praying these items were truly gluten free and was assured they would be.
We were so pleased with all of the baked goods!!!! What a beautiful cake & the cookies were fabulous! Our daughter-in-law was blown away at the quality & flavor of these items. It's not often that you can find such high quality of gluten free items.
This is a top notch bakery for sure & the owner delivers the items directly to you. A must try for anyone in the...
