Let me start of with...this was such a bad experience that this is my first review ever. You have got to be kidding me. Do they not know what kind of meat goes in a sandwhich. This place has gone downhill in my opinion. I ordered a pastrami sandwhich and a Reuben sandwhich. Please explain to me why I ended up with the same exact meat in both sandwhiches. Of which was a knock off meat. Why you say knock off...you may ask? How is Processed Peppered Bologna a substitue for corned beef or for pastrami. By far my worse sandwhich experience yet. If you don't know your meats then this place is for you. If you are alergic to certain foods then stay away because the lord only knows what they putting on their sandwhiches. And don't look back in the kitchen...oh my I am surprised that they are able to pass heath inspections. You ever wonder why their prices are so cheap...now you know. I would rather pay more for what I ordered than pay less for what I thought I was getting. If I wanted bologna I would have went to subway go a...
Read moreI WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! Randy’s, once a crown jewel of Monterey has seriously gone downhill. I think being the best in town has gotten to these guy’s heads to where they think they can slack off and not give good service. First of all, you better make you you arrive 15 min early because it takes way too long for them to make service. Not only this, but they will sit there and answer every phone order, while ignoring their actual customers who are there in person. This is the second time I have had to leave without getting my food, after waiting literally over 20 minutes shoulder to shoulder with strangers. People will say this is the best place in town. People will say this is the best quality and price but you are all very very wrong. Go to Valnizza’s. It’s only 4 blocks away and is much better. They have better bigger sandwiches with a wider selection and they are also a market so you can get anything else you want there. Please do not make the same mistake I did by going to Randy’s. I will never make that...
Read more5 enthusiastic stars for quality, consistency, prices. Years since I've been there and was not at all disappointed upon my return. It happened to be Friday so I was oh so ready for the Calamari special. In line listening to others it seems this sandwich is well known with folks lining up all talking calamari and hoping it wouldn't run out before getting to the counter. Inside it doesn't look like anything has changed since I first wandered into this neighborhood place. Like a dive bar for sandwiches. Prices and portions are kinda ridiculous for this day and age, especially on Monterey peninsula. $9 calamari sandwich is thick steak meat like abalone. Lettuce tomato and tartar round it out on the same soft seedy bun I remember. So glad to have made it back and am already thinking about next time. That turkey club.... Drool with the bacon. Seriously. But don't tell anyone any of this cause I don't want to have to wait in a longer line...
