I saw a billboard on the turnpike for lobster rolls at Panera Bread. So, I decided to stop in. This was already a stretch for me because I had previously vowed to never again patronize Panera Bread after a different location ran out of eggs during breakfast... Who runs out of eggs at breakfast??? Anyway... When I walked in, I immediately noticed the kiosks to place my order at the front. Since there were already three people in line, I decided to use one of the kiosks. Once I started the process, I immediately regretted that decision. I suppose that if you don't know what you want, the selection could provide you with some ideas. However, if you know exactly what you want, the kiosk makes it very difficult to find your specific item. Once I located and selected the lobster rolls, the kiosk informs me that they were out of the greens but come with a lobster roll... This was no suprise to me as I am now accustomed to Panera Bread being out of things. So, I selected the option to order the lobster rolls anyway. When I was done ordering, the kiosk then started asking me if I wanted to add Are there specific items to my order. I have no idea what these items were. I couldn't tell if they were a drink, or a soup, or a sauce. I suppose if you are a regular customer of Panera Bread, you may know exactly what these things are and it wouldn't be as much of a pain as it was for me. So, now the fun begins... I finally navigate to the payment section. I tried one credit card that I had just purchased gas with about 15 minutes beforehand, but the kiosk told me that it was not a valid card. Of course, this was after I had to swipe it 5 times. I then tried my backup card which typically has a $0 balance on it... Because it's a BACK-UP card... and the kiosk told me that one was not valid either. Again, after having to swipe it five times. Finally, I tried my debit card and that worked on the third swipe. BUT, the machine didn't give me an order number or any other kind of instructions to pick up my food. Thankfully, I am a bit more aggressive than the average person and I asked the cashier at the register how I was supposed to know when my food is ready. She explained the Panera Bread order status system to me. I honestly have no clue how someone is supposed to know this system if they have never been to Panera Bread before. When my order was finally ready, a man (that I assume was the manager because he wasn't in a uniform) handed me my order. But, he inquired as to why I wasn't getting any greens on my lobster roll. I told him that it was because the kiosk told me that the greens were unavailable. But part of me was a little annoyed that he wasn't aware of this. He told me that he could substitute the unavailable greens with some other kind of lettuce or something, but at that point I was annoyed and told him that it was just too late. So, Panera Bread has yet again annoyed me... They are only getting the second star because the Lobster rolls were better than I expected. I mean, in comparison to what you would get somewhere in New England, they were probably a 6 or a 7 out of 10. But, since I was at Panera Bread, I fully expected them to be a 2 or 3.... So good job on that! Who runs out of eggs at...
Read morePanera has been one of our go to places specially if we want to have something Vegetarian. The quality of food ingredients which they use here are top notch and so fresh. We always choose from their popular option pick two , which includes either soup/ salad/ sandwiches / mixed bowls along with a side of apple/ bread/ kettle chips/ fruit cup.
We ordered creamy tomato soup/southwest chipotle chicken salad & Mexican street corn chowder/ half green goddess caprese melt sandwich. If you want something sour and creamy plain along with a few crotons in the soup , tomato soup is a go. If you want something more not a sour one side with a some veggies, tortilla chips which adds a bit of crunch which is also very delicious in its own way, I would go with it. Either ways their soups are just amazing.
The salad was so delicious , I could not find a better franchised food place which has this high quality healthy delicious salad. Their chicken is just so great. The chicken pieces in there are so juicy and cooked to perfection, and a very subtle taste of salt and lime. Those pieces complement so well with the whole bowl along with the amazing grilled corn , avocado, lettuce and tortilla chips topped of with ranch and chipotle aioli sauce. I would eat this bowl again & again. The sandwich was great with fresh mozzarella , tomatoes , basil on a baguette with their amazing green dressing along with hint of garlic aioli.
To top it off all Brownie is the best. Best way to end your meal. Overall I would definitely suggest Panera if you are looking for some good quality...
Read moreI rarely go out to eat at expensive restaurants unless I vacation or with my family, but I go here with my friend when we want to talk for long periods of time while relaxing with some good food. Everytime I visit this place, it's been nothing short of goodness! I don't want to detract from the other reviews that say this place has been a poor experience, but from my personal experiences, I enjoy this place. It may not be the cleanest, but I've come to expect it with places that has lots of young people visiting. However, if the mess is to an extreme, I will note it, but so far, I haven't seen any. As for the noisy atmosphere, I can say I expect it to be as such because of the crowded area. There are always people here, and it adds a nice touch of liveliness throughout the restaurant! The service is also exceptionally quick from my experiences. I don't remember ever having to wait longer than 10 minutes to get my food. Even my friend who has been here multiple times never had to wait. As for the food, I find the Mac & Cheese to be my automatic go to whenever I visit here and every time I order the 'You Pick Two' menu choice. It's delicious and pricey, but worth it when visiting every couple of months! As for the sandwiches for the other entree, I go for any random one my friend recommends because most of the sandwiches are all good! Some of the sandwiches I got in the past were the 'Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT,' 'Signature Take Chicken Sandwich,' and 'Smoky Buffalo Chicken Melt.' I would recommend this place to anyone as long as the...
