Haute Chocolate, Inc. — Restaurant in Montgomery

Can’t really say whether their chocolates are good or not because, after we drove an hour to visit three stops on the Buckeye Candy Trail, including this one, they were closed! Website and one sign near door said they opened at noon, but we arrived shortly after noon to find a locked door and no sign of anyone inside. Another sign on the building said they opened at 10, so the signage is also confusing. If they were closed due to something unforeseen, it would have been helpful if they could have had someone post a sign or put a phone message to that effect (we also tried calling). Doubt I’d make another trip back if I can’t be sure when they are open!

Update: increased my rating a bit because I do appreciate the owner’s responding about this issue. It’s a shame I won’t be in the area long enough to give it another try, as what we could see through the window looked very nice. Oh, well -...

I love all of the dolls around, they have their own personal looks and it's so creative. Their truffles are so good and especially their pyramid chocolates. They have such a warm welcoming feeling to the whole place. Their Oreos even have different creative styles on them like some include a Hanukah theme while some have a doctor or nurse theme to them. We love Haute Chocolate! We work right next door and are there several times a week to pick up an afternoon sweet treat. The staff is so friendly, always offering samples and very attentive. The chocolates are DIVINE. We are huge fans of the buckeyes, katydids, and brownies. It smells like heaven in there, and when we bought a very small, inexpensive purchase for a client of ours, they put it in a cute litte box with a bow.
