For a place that is not a steakhouse I feel the $32.99 for a 12oz.sirloin is a little high but I could be out of touch. My daughter's pulled chicken had a strong chemical gas taste to it. Really couldn't taste chicken. She only ate 1bite. My fries were already cooled off and starting that soggy grease state by time meals were delivered. We exchanged the sandwich and reordered the Filet mignon for her came out bloody. Refire well? Don't know why the portabella mushroom was with it but whatever they did in cooking it shouldn't be done, and I don't remember any Filet mignon I ever had tasting like beef liver. The location is kind of tucked back in and GPS struggled to get us there. Valet parking I think was $13. Beyond plenty of water refills delivery of meals and redelivery was on the slower side. They did offer and put bibs on you too protect your clothes. They are supposed to have been award winning for their ribs in 91' wanted steak but should have probably tried them ☺️

We had a very poor experience. A rack of ribs was over $35.00. The ribs were served with a splash of sauce and we got a very small sweet potatoe. My husband ordered a brisket which was over $25.00 and again a small sweet potato. The brisket had so much fat he could not eat any of it. It had far more BBQ sauce then the ribs. My belief was to cover up all that fat. I love fat but even I could not eat it as at this point my husband and I tried to enjoy the meal by switching plates. The food was truly very disappointing. The quality, and quantity (no bread was offered) for what we were charged was outrageous. We called attention to the brisket and we were told that was NOT the usual brisket a was below their usual quality and it was removed from our bill. So for $47 plus a good tip we got 2 iced teas, a rack of ribs and 2 very small but delicious baked sweet potatoes. We also drove over 3 hours to get there. Not worth it. We will not go back

Valet parking was convenient, $4. There was two complimentary table foods: thin chips with BBQ sauce and regular bread slices with butter. Both were pleasant appetizers. I went onna Wednesday so the Wagyu burger was on sale for $10.99. Me and another person's burger were cooked more than what was requested, but it wasn't a dry burger. I suggest trying the Chipotle BBQ (it was also good on the burger). The fries were nothing special. The Original BBQ sauce and the Chipotle are both bold sauces. They're well done and unique, but I can see some people not liking either. I would still go back to try the ribs. The sauce flavor may come out differently when cooked into a meat vs being used as a dipper. Overall, certainly not a bad place, but maybe an aquired taste. It's a quality establishment by all means.

I would like to start off my saying this was my first time coming to Montgomery Inn because I had a gift card and it will certainly be my last time.

It started with their rude valet parking attendants. Since this was my first time coming, I had to use Apple Maps to find it and it brings you straight to their valet which they don’t mark properly. When asked if I wanted valet I parking I told them no and they quickly left before I could ask where I could park. I thought I had found a spot but when I pulled in one of the attendants jumped out of the car they were parking and quite literally shooed me away. I ended up parking 2 blocks away and walking.

When I finally arrived I came to the front to check in for my reservation. The lady at the desk did not greet me in any way, I understood they were busy but a simple “I’ll be right with you” isn’t hard. A server then came up to complain about one of his colleagues so they started to gossip about that. She finally gave me her attention by staring at me without a word so I told her I had a reservation, she rambled off 3 different excuses as to why it wasn’t ready so we had to wait. After 30 minutes of waiting we were finally seated.

When seated we were given mediocre bread white bread and small blocks of frozen butter. I ordered the brisket sandwich and requested their spicy chipotle bbq sauce instead of the original. When it came out, they still put the original sauce on my sandwich and gave me a side of the spicy sauce. The brisket had a weird soft texture and just didn’t have a ton of flavor. My mom and girlfriend both ordered the pulled pork sandwich which looked like mush and was soggy so they ate it with a fork. My dad had the bbq spring chicken and was disappointed by it.

All together it was a very disappointing experience and I feel bad for the person who wasted their money on the gift card. I won’t be returning and if anyone wants good BBQ I recommend checking...

Have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. My family holds birthday parties and Fathers Day stuff here all the time but the last few years we haven't went as much. Someone gave my wife and I a $50 gift card so I was excited to go back. I went online and made a reservation because we were going on a Friday night and this place is usually busy on a Friday. Showed up for the dinner excited and ready to go. Valeted my car (great cheap convenience) and went inside and noticed it was slower than I expected. We were taken right to our table, there were a lot of empty tables. And I have to say this, noticed the crowd was not young AT ALL. Waitress came over to get our orders and my wife had to repeat everything she said because the waitress was hard of hearing. They brought her THREE DIFFERENT DRAFT BEERS and all 3 were warm. They did take them off the check, only after a myriad of excuses about the lines being checked and also them attempting to bring a "cold one from the bar" - it was warmer than the previous 2 lol I got a wedge salad (hard to screw up) and it was good but the brisket sandwich was clearly old and reheated. I know this because I myself make brisket all the time and it should not be tough to chew like that. I also know because after the meal I got familiar with their bathroom, which was very nice I must say and is why they got a 2. If the toilet wasn't so spacious for the destruction the brisket did to my insides I would have given a 1. On the way out we walked by the bar and there was a band playing, the room looked like they brought a bus over from the retirement community. She's clearly fallen on hard times :( I'll still buy their...

We went to Montgomery Inn last night for the first time in several years, and it brought back memories. Unfortunately, they were memories of how good MI used to be and how far they’ve fallen since then.

I ordered the pork chops because of how juicy, tender, and flavorful they were in the past, but last night they were overcooked, dry, and tough. The Cantonese shrimp appetizer was also overcooked and not even close to how good they were in the past. Even the sweet and hot dipping sauce was almost all sweet with very little hot mustard.

My wife had the ribs and chicken and the Ribs King salad. As with the pork chops, the ribs were overcooked and dry (a far cry from the way they used to be) but at least the sauce came to the rescue to add some flavor and moisture. Her salad was missing its croutons and barely had a touch of color with only a small sliver of carrot. At least the blue cheese dressing was still as good as we remembered.

I speculate that our ribs and pork chops sat under the heat lamps way too long after they were prepared given that we didn’t get our food for well over 30 minutes after we ordered it.

As for cleanliness, the edge of our table (the vertical edge facing me) was sticky - most likely from someone spilling BBQ sauce days, weeks, or months ago. It probably would have taken a knife to scrape it off because my napkin had no effect on it.

Perhaps we could blame MI’s poor performance on it being Greater Cincinnati Restaurant week, but whenever we have gone to other restaurants during a restaurant week event, those restaurants shined - but not...
