Absolute worst "Turkish" meal I've ever had, and even calling it Mediterranean is using the term loosely.
After waiting over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by a host, we were seated quickly with only needing a 2-top. This is one of only a few efficient things that happened in this experience.
Waters took until after we placed our order to show up. The menu itself, has a variety of dishes including vegetarian options. However, calling these dishes Turkish is a stretch, and they know it since they're not even using the proper names. They simply call dolma stuffed grape leaves and cigara böreği a rolled pie.
We did get the stuffed grape leaves, which were clearly from a can. The overly vinegary taste was a tipoff, as well as their shape and how relatively quickly they came to the table. The accompanying pita bread was chewy, and tasted of being pre-made and frozen.
Now to the mains, which came to the table rather quickly, and we figure out why very soon. Let me just say, mushrooms are very rarely used in actual Turkish cuisine. So if that's in the mix, you're definitely not getting something authentic. I went ahead and ordered the sauteed lamb even though mushrooms were listed just to see. I'm pretty sure the only mushrooms in the dish were part of the Hunts spaghetti sauce the dish seemed to be covered in.
We also got the Adana kebab. The kebab can also be ordered İskender style with bread and yogurt. Skip this, as they fry the bread into more of a crouton and the yogurt is Chobani (not the whole fat either, so the texture is all wrong). The meat was rubbery and under-seasoned.
No rakı in a state that can get it, and Efes glassware without an ounce in sight.
The most Mediterranean part of this restaurant is the staff, and they should really rethink if this is what they want people's first experience with their culture's cuisine to be. Would definitely not recommend until a full kitchen makeover has...

Read moreSo glad to have found a local Mediterranean restaurant who serves more than just gyros and dolmades. Don't get me wrong, I love gyros and dolmades, but also sometimes I just want normal entrees too.
The tabbouleh is amazing!!! MUST HAVE. Light and citrusy. A good compliment to most of the oil-infused entrees to follow. Also, the warm pita is a nice compliment.
My husband and I both ordered entrees which contained eggplant and ground lamb. He ordered the baked eggplant (he devoured it), and I ordered the Ali Nazik Kebab. I'll agree with some other reviews that there was way more olive oil in the dish than I would've expected. It was a bit distracting, and caused some issues a couple hours later. I'm used to Mediterranean foods and the use of olive oil, but holy moly, my dish was swimming. And two hours later.... well you get the point.
But that said, I'll still be coming back to try other dishes. Next time, I'll go for whole muscle, rather than ground meat. Hopefully with whole meat there will be less oil. I also want to try their red...
