First, let me just say that I have never experienced customer service at its WORST! From the manager to the waitress. This waffle house needs a secret shopper or undercover boss experience.
On July 4th, around 10:30 a.m. my husband and I decided to get breakfast. Atmosphere-The restaurant is so nasty and filthy that I was scared sitting down. You better be up to date on your tetanus shot. Service - The waitress who served us did not have on her name tag, but she had red and black braids- SHE NEEDS TO QUIT as customer service is not her strong trait. She is short, ignores customers, and does not provide good customer service.
We were dining in, and that was established in the being when she acknowledged us. My husband asked for coffee, and she brought it in a to go coffee cup. When he asked for a regular coffee cup. She walks off with an attitude and gets a regular coffee cup (no biggie). She brings our food but not utensils. I asked for utensils, and she gave us a plastic fork and knife and walked off. now she is busy taking other customers' orders. Therefore, I asked another waitress Ariel for utensils. Thanks, Ariel.
As we are eating, a gentleman sitting at the counter asks his waitress (same waitress who serviced us-red/black braids) a simple question " Excuse me, have you put my order in yet?" I'm not sure if she ignored him or if she simply didn't hear him. Based on my experience, I would lean heavily towards she ignored him. However, the manager ( didn't see her name tag but had brown locs) who were cooking the food responded to the gentleman with an attitude and proceeded to tell him, " We are cooking the food".
The gentleman responded with, "If you don't want to work, go home." I totally agree with him because all the staff acted as if they did not want to be there!
The manager then tells the gentleman, "You can leave, and I can cancel your order." Now, I totally understand the stress of working at a fast food establishment! These ladies were just rude and annoyed, but it could have been something that happened prior to getting there that we...
Read moreI entered the store to pick up a to-go order and was not greeted after several minutes. I heard the order being called to cook, so I returned to my car to wait; still no acknowledgement of my presence. I returned when I thought the order was ready, and still no one greeted me or ask to take my order. I saw a "To-Go Order" sign in the rear of the store, so I went to it and asked the worker(Ty) if this is where I picked up my to-go order. She asked an unrelated question and requested that I wait a minute. She returned after speaking with a co-worker and doing some other meaningless task (cleaning a table). She ask what I wanted to order and I stated that I was there to pick up an order. She asked my name and again asked me to wait a minute. This went much to long. Fast Forward... I was told to go to the register and finally someone comes to take the payment and cashiers (Toya and Ty) were just rude. I requested some ketchup and again I was told by Ty to WAIT. She commenced to do meaningless task and did not honor my request. I made the request of Toya, and she too hesitated. So I asked Ty AGAIN and the two of them approached the counter with handfuls of ketchup. I admit, I was frustrated due to the treatment I received, and commented "This service is awful" but at no time was I rude or disrespectful. As I walked out, Toya remarked "don't come back". I turned around and requested a refund on the order. Toya continued to be verbally abusive and have blatant...
Read moreMy dining experience at this location was horrible. The table was completely wet when we sat down and none of the waitresses that walked past offered or attempted to dry it off. We had to eventually flag one of them down to ask for napkins to dry it off ourselves. We sat at the table for a while (10 minutes) before our waitress finally greeted us and took our order. We reminded her on three separate occasions that she hadn’t brought us our drinks yet. We didn’t get these drinks until well after our food was brought out. Our orders were mixed up to the point we had switch food between our plates. She also forgot to bring out our waffles. We had to remind her to bring our waffles when she dropped off the check. When the waffles finally arrived, they were Wrong! And instead of taking them back and remaking them to what they were supposed to be, she gave us a container of toppings and told us to sprinkle them over the cold waffles. Never have I ever had to make something I paid extra for. I’ve eaten at Waffle House many times and never had this issue. She then got an attitude when we asked for her to split the check in two, which she would have known if she had asked in the first place. Overall, I was completely dissatisfied with my experience. This was my out of state friend’s first time trying Waffle House and she’s already expressed to me she won’t be coming back. I hope the owner of the store and corporate sees this and make...
