Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Monticello

So, my girlfriend recently started going to scooters instead of caribou to get her occasional coffee.

The first two times we went, the drinks and service were absolutely amazing. The last FOUR trips ended horribly, and she definitely won’t be going back or tipping ever again. Two of the four drinks were handed to her with the end of the whipped cream can in a gross glob. It was VERY obvious that the whipped cream was empty, and rather than refill it they just sent it out anyways. My girlfriend was obviously very upset about it and the worker just shut the window and ignored her.

The other two times, including this morning, she paid for extra peanut butter and received a coffee that was 1/2 full of coffee and 1/2 whipped cream.

For $7, there’s no excuse to be giving out half empty cups, or cheaping out on stuff like whipped cream.

We were really happy when we first discovered scooters, but we obviously formed our opinions...

Messed up everything on my order. I ordered a grandma nut hot coffee, fruit n ice duo with no whip cream, an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with no cheese, and a bacon burrito. I received a blended white mocha, a Caramelicious, a fruit smoothie with whip cream, and an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with cheese. I paid $30 for stuff I couldn’t eat and didn’t order! The funny thing is I DID tell them I can’t have dairy (i ordered the smoothie and breakfast sandwich, the rest I got for family) and they mentioned the smoothie has dairy and that I could sub it for something else, I told them I’d like coconut milk instead. I’ve been lactose intolerant for a while now and can easily spot the difference between coconut milk and regular milk, the smoothie was 100%...

I’ve gone to the new scooters coffee shop a couple times in Monticello and generally appreciate their coffee! The last time I went, they started a new pretzel with bacon and some sort of meat on it. These little pretzel bites and said that they were doing a trial run with this item. I decided to try the pretzel bites, they were edible, but not worth the money. I was also asked to leave a review so here it is! I would suggest that scooter opt out of the trial pretzel run haha, in my opinion, coffee shops make these little side foods for coffees, that never taste all that good with a high price attached, but I will continue to go there for their coffee and I am on my way...
