Three street tacos for $10 on lunch special. The tortillas were tough to chew. The chorizo filling was okay but nothing special. The shrimp filling was great. Shrimp cooked just right. Avacado was fresh. Would recommend the shrimp. All tacos would benefit from adding fresh lime wedges. The restaurant is dark inside both lighting and decor. A small bar is at the rear of the room. Outside seating is available. My server was helpful and knowledgeable when ordering, but never returned to refill drinks or ask about meal. I was almost finished with my meal before i saw him on the floor again. I had to wave and get his attention to refill drinks and get an extra napkin. Menu prices are a little high for what is served. Authentic street tacos are not served with complicated and multilayered fillings. They can be better found from street and food truck taco vendors, prepared from basic ingredients, such as choice of meat with cilantro, onion, hot sauce and a lime, served on a paper plate at half the price. Maybe the chef should rename these as "Vermont style tacos". So, three stars because nothing was terrible, but not so great either. Edible, but ho-hum, and room for...
Read moreBland. It's probably the worst phrase that can be used to describe a Mexican restaurant, but sadly this is the case. Salsa had no taste, even with mountains of added bland table-side hot sauce. Got two varieties of the tacos, both were greasy messes that, again, lacked flavor. One was supposed to be super spicy, but lacked any heat. Everything was dripping down the sopping wet shells, making the experience of eating them as mediocre as the taste. How we ended up with greasy shrimp is beyond me. The chorizo taco was bland with a goofy aftertaste.
My wife got a taco salad which she aptly described as "fine." I had a bite and can confirm this.
The service was OK.
This might be a three star review at another restaurant, but if there's one thing I want from Mexican cuisine its big flavors and they...
Read moreThey provide you with chips and salsa. They have hot and mild salsa. The hot was not super hot and had good flavor. The mild was very sweet. We ordered the steak fajitas for $18. It was enough for two people to share. It comes with a large side of shredded cheese, lettuce and diced tomatoes. It came with rice but we requested refried beans. For $4.95 you can get a side of white queso. The meat was flavorful and served on a sizzling plate with sliced onion and green peppers. The tortillas were flour and from a package.
There is a bar with about six seats. They have nightly specials written on a chalk board. They play non Spanish music that doesn't go with the ambiance. There is Free street parking at night. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Overall, it was good American style Mexican...
