Amigos Mexican grill — Restaurant in Moorestown Township

I liked this place. Grabbed a couple beef birria tacos with a side of guac. Beef was tender but ate a little on the dry side. Not sure what cut they are using for that but the texture and flavor makes me think brisket. Little slower braise with some chuck would give a little more flavor and texture. I'm nit picking at this point. Overall decent but a little lacking in flavor. The consomme on the side was wet, but that's about it. Very light in color. Guac was good. Definitely made fresh with fresh avocados, not the frozen bagged stuff a lot of places use. All the stuff on the cold line like pico and the onion cilantro mix looked super fresh. Guy at the counter was really great. Offered me a sample of the birria, asked if I had any questions about the meats available, & made my tacos with care. I'll be back next time I'm in. I recently visited Amigos Mexican Grill, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The highlight of the meal was definitely the tacos. They were absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned, with generous portions of filling, and the tortillas were fresh and soft. I tried al pastor tacos, and both were packed with flavor. The toppings—fresh cilantro, onions, and salsa—complimented the meats beautifully, adding the right amount of crunch and zest.

In addition to the fantastic food, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly.

First time I've been in the mall in years!! I hate malls! But NEEDED VS and Michael's... on the way in, saw the typical look of most half empty businesses, but was SUPER happy to see a MEXICAN restaurant there! The owner immediately gave us a taste of the meat that goes on a Barria taco along with a homemade tortilla chip. What I would assume... this man is sure of his product.
