I'm now posting on social media as below was the original email that was sent a week ago and I emailed again politely yesterday and still no response. Very unprofessional to not even respond :(
"I'm writing to let you know of my families recent experience there last Friday evening. We were in North Carolina visiting my sister and brother-in-law, who are regulars at your place. My husband was in the mood for steak and they suggested your place. Upon arrival we requested Brittany, I believe, as that was their favorite server, but we had a party of 8 so we couldn't fit in her section. Anyways-we were seated and immediately upon looking over the menu my husband asked our server if the Wagyu Filet Mignon listed at the bottom was "just a regular filet" and similar to the Hibachi one and was told "yes, I believe so." He then asked what it came with if anything and she replied she "didn't think it came with anything". When she came back to take our order she said she had asked and it " did come with mushrooms and vegetables etc..." My husband asked her if she could hold all of that and just do the garlic noodles my sister raved about and she said yes. Our 12 year old son doesn't eat sushi and loves filet so my husband told her that "my son will have the same thing". She then comes out with 2 large trays of sauces and places them down not even knowing what the sauces were. She tried but was unsure so I said she could take one tray back and we would sample the one left behind. The food began to be served and when my husbands was placed next to him we both looked at each other like " what is that?". It looked like a flattened ribeye. We didn't want to say anything because we thought maybe wagyu meant something different so they just started eating it. My son asked my husband across the table if his steak was cold too...my husband said it was luke warm. My son didn't like it, so my niece at the table ate his. We were then presented with the bill only to find out that our -non filet--flat cold meat was $101 each! Now I understand market price means it could be a little pricier but seeing that the filet for the Hibachi was only $28 we didn't think it would be much more than that. $202 for food that we were mislead on is a LOT of money ESPECIALLY for a 12 year old boy. I feel at the very least the server should have said something after we ordered for him like "I just wanted to make you aware that that is a $101 dollar meal..." Nothing was said AND at the end when she heard us discussing the bill she even apologized saying "it was the first time she had ever served it". Then after we left we googled Wagyu Filet only to see that it DOES indeed look like a traditional filet...so what were we even served :(
We are just very upset and fell like we were "had". I was in the restaurant business for over 20 years and understand things happen but after processing this night--I just thought you should be aware and at the very least make sure your staff is properly trained and knowledgeable of the product and the protocol when a child or anyone for the matter orders...
Read moreMy 20 month old son and I just left the restaurant. The food is good. Not the best sushi but good nonetheless for the all you can eat price of $11+$2. I did their all you can eat sushi and added soup and salad. Their miso is not great but the salad is good with the ginger dressing.
The reason I’m writing this review is because of their customer service! This is not a kid friendly place!! My son woke up and I gave him 3 pieces of my cooked rolls from my plate and half of my spring roll. Mind you I didn’t order extra for him... if that was an issue. The waitress was advised by the manager to come and tell me if I wanted to do another all you can eat $11 for my 20 month old since he is eating sushi off my plate. I said I’m sorry, you want me to do an $11 all you can eat for my son for my 20 month old, she said yes! Bec we can’t share. I understand the not sharing but I never thought giving 3 pieces of sushi rolls would be a catastrophe for a restaurant. I spoke to the manager and said if you want kids to order then you should have a kids meal and not an all you can eat.... he went to say they did have a kids meal, which was NEVER offered to me, nor mentioned till that moment. He went on to say yes he should not touch your plate.
Any moms out there, tell me what you would tell your less than 2 year old who wants to touch your plate. This man obviously has no customer service training or customer appreciation. We were regular customers but I will make sure to spread the word on his business ethics to all. He should just look all at the restaurants surrounding him and see what they do for kids. I guess that was his polite way of saying no kids are welcomed.
He did say, next time buy him a side of rice plate or noodles.... but don’t let him touch your sushi !

Read moreOk look, all you can eat for 10$ is unreal. You can't get that anywhere. Well I'm currently sitting in the place, with an empty plate for going on a half hour and my server, Noah, has walked passed us flat out ignoring us. Although Noah has great table side manners and seems to be knowledgeable about the menu, I wish he'd stop socializing with the 2 other tables and come back to my table and take my order so I can eat my food, pay my bill and continue with my day. I used to come here all the time and since about 4 months ago or so I've slowly stopped, and after today I maybe stop coming completely. It's one thing if it's busy, it's one thing if another people was occupying his time, but it's another to completely "forget" you have a table with a stack of plates at the edge. My husband has tried now 5 times to get his attention: and once again has failed. Poor service. Spend the extra money on Literally any other sushi place.
Update: it’s been 8 months since I’ve been there and tonight I went for a girls night out. My glass of Pinot Grigio was warm, so I asked for a glass of ice, never got it. My pineapple fried rice was cold. One of my friends asked for a cosmo, she barely drank it because all it was was vodka.. which is clearly not what she wanted. (I don’t know anything about cosmos so this can be up for discussion.) our server, for change was very attentive, accept for the ice. The sushi appetizer we got was warm, which in my opinion is gross. Now I’m sick and I keep being placed on hold and being disconnected. I promise this time for real. I will...
