My son and I typically go to sonic and enjoy the experience while watching a show in our car. Yesterday there was a power outage and they were understandably busy. So we knew our orders would be taken in a timely manner and same with receiving our food. However, I did not take into consideration being treated like complete trash. When you push the red button in the stalls it will blink till someone answers and starts taking your order. Ours blinked for 15 minutes (yes we waited because we knew they were busy and I was craving one of their drinks. That's all I wanted) once the light stopped blinking and was solid red I didn't hear anything. I said hello quietly to see if maybe it was an error, and nothing. I waited a couple more minutes when the person next to me pulled in and got someone right away, so I tried to say "hello" again but that time I was cut off by an extremely rude female voice yelling at me to be patient and that they are busy. Granted I only did hello twice after a 5 minute interval from saying it the first time after waiting over 15 minutes. I responded back and said I didn't know my stall was working because I couldn't hear anything and her response again included more yelling "because I'm busy" before getting to respond she hung up the stall starting the whole process all over again. Busy or not I did not deserve that. I did not demand anything. I wasn't rude but was curious why my stall wasn't working when the person who pulled in next to me was able to order right away. Read moreOn two separate occasions I have placed my lunch order at the drive thru and waited for 30 minutes both times to receive my order, but both times it was never brought out to me. I gave them a second chance after the first offense, but I’m officially done with this place. I only get a 30 minute lunch break, so I spent my entire break waiting for the food that I never got. Thankfully I had eaten breakfast because this meant I didn’t get to eat lunch! The first time it happened, the girl apologized when I told her to cancel my order because I had to get back to work or I’d be late clocking back in. The second time it happened was recently. It was this week- Wednesday April 24, 2024. I explained that I couldn’t continue to wait for my order because I had to get back to work or I’d be late. The girl rolled her eyes and sighed and walked off to go back inside as she mumbled a comment that “she’d had it with all of these people.” She’d had it?! I’m the customer that never got my order, and instead of any apology or an offer to check on my order to see why it took 30 minutes wait time- yet still no food was ever brought out to me, she has an attitude?! Read more2024: As always, I'm again shocked by how bad this location is. Decided to give it a go after not coming in FOREVER so stopped by for breakfast and she says they have everything except for eggs 😆 202so basically you're open without breakfast. Sigh.
2022: it's pretty crazy that I've never had just a normal experience with this place. If their tots weren't so good, I imagine many would stop going! Today honestly just took forever. Literally 50 minutes by the time we could leave. Everything was good and hot and that's likely what keeps people coming back! They forgot our condiments, two orders of tots, and one item was slightly wrong.
2020 review: I sat in the drive thru for 9 minutes before I finally left. I wondered if the sensor wasn't working so I decided to call as I left and make sure they knew something was up. The lady who answered did say they were having trouble with the drive thru speaker but thought it was working, just hard for them to hear. I let her know how long I'd been there and suggested they maybe put up a sign saying it's not working because there was a line building up.
