Came here for breakfast. I think it's strange that there are two coffee mugs on every table sitting right side up when all the cups behind the counter are upside down for sanitary reasons. I asked for regular coffee and was asked if I wanted it iced. No, I just want a regular cup of coffee, which is hot in my generation. Also, after the coffee was brought to the table, the server filled my coffee mug up halfway, and my daughter's up like a third of the way before setting the coffee pot down on the table. I asked for a spoon, and the server was like I'll go get you one and she did not get one until several minutes later when she came back to take my order. Nothing like having your coffee sit in front of your face, not able to stir in cream and sugar. I got the biscuits and gravy with over medium eggs. My daughter also got over medium eggs, and the whites were runny, and the eggs were cold, which is definitely disgusting. The seasoned potatoes were nice and hot, ready to eat delicious. The biscuits were dry, and the gravy didn't really help, but it was good, just not hot. When I order hot food I like it to come hot to the table.
Also the atmosphere is really bougie and a lot of the menu items also kind of seeing bougie and high-end. But I didn't really feel that from like the service or the food that was presented.
After eating, my daughter and I wanted to sit and chat for a while before I had to leave to go to work. We literally sat there with our dirty dishes on our table for over 10 minutes while the bus boy went around and cleaned other tables where patrons had already left. Eventually our server came back over and took our plates but it was clear that she did not want to do this because they had a busboy on stuff and we just weren't leaving so that he could do his job.
It was a little expensive for what we got. I still did leave a tip but you could tell that the woman at the cash register like rolled her eyes when she saw I come across the screen which made me want to be like oh never mind can you reverse that...
Read moreToday, early Monday morning was my first visit to First Watch in Mooresville, and it was a great experience! My husband and I were seated right away, and the space felt warm and welcoming. Our waitress was super sweet (wish I caught her name!), and I loved the little touch of having coffee mugs waiting for us at the table.
I ordered the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos with a side of Million Dollar Potatoes—both were great! The tacos came loaded with protein (chorizo, egg, and chicken), and the tortillas were soft and tasted great. The potatoes had a slightly sweet flavor which was great, but next time I’d ask for the potatoes to be crispy.
Coffee was okay—likely a medium roast and too bland for me. You won't find coffee stir sticks at the table. My husband’s avocado toast was a bit heavy on the lemon and tasted more like guacamole, but the wheat toast was great. Menus is also calorie conscious, which I can always appreciate transparency.
Loved that they have a seasonal menu and the fact that you keep the coffee pot at your table while you dine. Food took about 25 minutes which is typically for freshly made food. I probably would have waited an extra 5 minutes for crunchy potatoes. Table is bussed at the end of your service, great when its just my husband and I but with a big group it might get complicated.
Payment is done at the counter after your meal. Prices are reasonable. Overall, great service, good food, and we’ll definitely be back to try more—especially...
Read moreWe were there on a weekday, around 10am and were seated right away. Dining room wasn't too crowded. Service was outstanding. Noise level was moderate. We could still talk without shouting or straining to header.
Our server was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive. She checked on us but didn't interrupt our conversation unnecessarily.
Husband ordered eggs benedict with mixed greens salad. He loves eggs benedict but rarely orders it out because most restaurants are really stingy with the hollandaise sauce. There never seems to be enough and he always - ALWAYS - has to order extra on the side. Except this time, his eggs benedict had more than enough hollandaise, perfect for him. He was happy. Salad was also great, dressed perfectly, looked and tasted fresh.
I ordered the crab avocado toast with over easy eggs. Eggs were perfect - cooked whites, medium runny yolks. Mashed avocado was both chunky and creamy. Lightly seasoned to let the avocado flavor shine. Some places make them too puréed which is a texture I don't like. The toast was thick, warm, lightly toasted. The whole thing was topped with crab flakes - the real stuff - and pickled red onions. First time I've ordered this here and loved it.
I've been to the First Watch in Huntersville but this was a much better experience with the delicious food, exemplary service, and...
