Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in Mooresville

I am extremely disappointed with Teriyaki Madness in Mooresville, NC. The last three times I’ve ordered (since August 22, 2025 until September 30, 2025), the food has been inedible—and after giving it multiple chances, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Each time the food was either burned, cold, poorly portioned, or a combination of the three. In my most recent order from September 30, 2025, I specifically requested and paid for double chicken, yet received less than a normal single portion. The rice was dry, the chicken was tough, burned black on most surfaces (not grill marks—burned), stringy, and full of cartilage to the point of being inedible, and the food arrived cold.

Three strikes in a row, on different days, at this price point is not just disappointing—it’s unacceptable. As a customer who has consistently chosen TM for group meals, I expected quality and care. Instead, my friends and I were left frustrated and hungry.

Let's just start off with first impressions: they are RIDICULOUS with how they restrict what you can and cannot order. I wanted orange chicken with noodles, and I was advised of that being an impossibility. It took three tries before I was allowed to order. It took a long time for the food to come out, and when it did I was depressed when I lifted open the lid. All I saw was a bowl of noodles, VERY little veggies, and even LESS meat. I also want to take a moment to mention that every single sauce they have is a sugar base, so my diabetic friend struggled to enjoy their meal. The food was tasteless. Maybe even worse than tasteless...it was boring. The food was DEFINITELY microwaved. No offense, but the freezer section is a better deal and tastes better. Teriyaki Madness? They're mad for thinking me and my five friends will come back here. Overall: depressing, dry, boring, and I left hungrier...

Just discovered this place & OMG. Hands down the best teriyaki chicken I’ve ever had. From anywhere. That’s saying a lot because I’ve traveled across the country. Now I can’t stop eating here! Last week I ate here 3x! Since I’ve been on my gym journey it’s a great before or after gym meal.

My first time I ordered small teriyaki chicken with white rice (no veggies). Now I order with fried rice. The fried rice is TOP TIER. The chicken is so juicy & the rice is just perfect. They are also SO friendly here. Fast service & fair pricing. I will keep eating here (probably multiple times a week 😂)

I now won’t go anywhere else for teriyaki chicken. I haven’t tried anything else but I’m sure it’s amazing. I’m just on my hyper fixation meal with the teriyaki chicken & fried...
