WORST Sandwich Ever. Don't waste your time. Found this place on Google, looking for Italian Sandwich Shop. I ordered the Pastrami Sandwich. UGH absolute WORST Ever. First the girl behind the service desk was rude and too busy talking with her co workers to bother with me. Then after I ordered a combo, she turned and walked away from me. I asked about my drink cup. She said "Oh Yeah" and almost seemed bothered handing it to me. Ordering, There is NO pepperoncinis available at this store i was told. You're an "Italian Sandwich Shop" and you don't carry Pepperoncini, SMH. I had to be asked if i wanted mustard on a Pastrami sandwich, which comes standard pretty much at every other sandwich shop. Finally got my sandwich. The Bread was SOGGY, was there water on the prep area? The Actual Pastrami was SALTY, as if they poured 1/4 a container of salt on it. Almost inedible. I left the shop feeling sick to my stomach from my wet salty sandwich. NEVER AGAIN. What a waste of time Overall. This Capriotti's is not only the Single worst "Italian" sandwich Shop, it's one of the worst Fast food places to go to based on the service. UGGGGGGHHH. I SO REGRET making this Decision to even try this place. Do yourself a favor, Drive 20 minutes further to Redlands, (CA) and Go to Saverino's Italian Deli. Order ANYTHING on their menu, especially the Pastrami, (ask for Lonny's Favorite with Pepperoncinis be added to your sandwich) You WILL NOT be...
Read moreSo, the problem here are the employees making the subs. They even have instructional posters posted for them to follow. The issue is they didn’t follow the posters. I feel this location needs more training and quality control. But also you need to read the room when choosing a location. You are in SoCal with an Italian sub shop. Your employees need extra training for the culture differences in food preparation.
I can see the potential here. The meats are good quality. My sandwich had a good portion of meat. The components alone are good. If assembled correctly this sub would match the price point. Which I think is to high for the area. Cut portions, lower cost, bake fresh bread and offer some local flavors that other chain sub shops don’t and I think it can be successful.
A “thanksgiving sub”, although probably a staple on the east coast, doesn’t match the flavor palette here in SoCal. Who doesn’t like the Wawa turkey gobbler? Once a year. (If you know WaWa, then this review is for you) It’s not a flavor profile in SoCal. So when I saw it on the menu I laughed to myself. I wonder how many sell. The purchase of a local hot sauce or the substitution of peppers/sauce for the cranberries would match the area flavors and increase sales. This is just my...
Read moreAttended the soft opening for friends and and family members. I choose the grilled Italian and I was not disappointed. A little slow but totally understandable since it is brand new with new employees'. When I received the sandwich and took a bite it was nothing less than mouth watering with great flavor. I recommend everyone to try this sandwich. I was also able to sample the meat ball sandwich the next day and was pleasantly surprised once again how rich and flavorsome it was. Another one I would recommend. I did return for the grand opening to see how the service was and if the sandwiches would be the same. Service - 5 Stars. Employees professional and friendly Time - 4.5 Stars - service still a bit slow but employee attitude corrected that. Taste /Flavor- 5 Stars. OMG the Grilled Italian sandwich (my #1 favorite sandwich) the flavor once again did not disappoint me. Good to the last bite. I suggest that you all give this place a try and draw your own conclusions and find your favorite. They also offer vegetarian sandwiches and salads. This place is a 20 min drive from me and I assure you I will return. They beat other sandwich...
