[TLDR: I'm not native to this area, so the gps took us on a joyride through this enormous parking lot shopping center. It's Carls Jr, like any other one. The cashier was polite and spoke clearly. We waited about 10 mins or so for our food. They had us drive to the front of the store to wait for our orders. It consisted of 2 French fries, 1 zucchini, 1 western double bacon cheeseburger, 3 drinks, 1 five and 1 three pieces chicken nuggets. Food tasted the same like other Carls Jr's we've eaten at before.]
We went through the drive thru and ordered. We don't live in the area so we had a little bit of a hard time finding it. My daughter goes to the University of CA, Riverside and this is in Moreno Valley. That is important because coming from the university, it's a weird drive around town and a little shopping strip. My daughter was trying to navigate with the gps and we did fine until we had to turn into the driveway for Carls Jr. The GPS had us turn too soon, by stating turn right in 50 ft, then immediately turn left (you can't immediately turn left, that was a parking lot for a store), so I turned at the first left only to be told to turn left, then right, then right (which sounds like regular directions but not here because it would have put us right back at the place where it said to turn left before the two rights), all the while the map is showing it's up ahead. I continued straight only to be told to turn right twice, which would have had me drive into a store. Eventually we did see it in the distance, but the GPS told us we were going the wrong way. And no I don't need a new gps. This was the first time it had acted like this. The GPS, had it not bugged out, should have actually had me drive up two more streets, then it would have been right there on the right. It was around 9:00 p.m. or so when we got there. It wasn't too busy. The cashier was very polite, spoke concisely and the speaker was clear, no static so it was easy to hear. We were able to order and drive up to the second window and pay. My daughter ordered a 5 piece chicken nugget meal, my husband ordered a 3 piece chicken nugget meal and I ordered a western bacon double meal with zuccini instead of fries. The guy asked us to pull out to the front of the store, which meant we had to drive all the way back to the entrance to the drive thru, and they would take our food out to us when it was finished. I think we waited about 10 minutes before they came out to give us our food. The food was great. Tastes the same as other Carls Jrs I've ever been to. For those wondering why these types of chains have you pull out of the drive thru, it's because each of their orders are timed and they are supposed to get the cars out of drive thru in like 30 seconds because corporate or private owners seem to think food can be cooked in 30 seconds. They can get in trouble for...
Read moreHad a craving for a Super Star with CHEESE, NO ONIONS combo. Which is now called a a double famous star. Sat in the parking lot to enjoy my burger. First bite was a clump of pickles, meat, and ONIONS. Meat was dry. Not juicy at all. Instead of getting mad, I checked my receipt to make sure I said no ONIONS. Yep, it said no ONIONS. I let it slide, and picked off the ONIONS. Then I noticed the burger had no CHEESE. I know I said, with CHEESE. So I checked the receipt, and it said, with CHEESE. Now I'm upset. I take the burger back. Explained what happened. No problem. Gave me the exchange. Burger had no ONIONS. But still had no CHEESE. I mean damn! They want $20 an hour but can't make an order right. Good thing I'm taking anger management classes. Otherwise I would've been cussing and fussing. Get it together Carl's Jr. I should've went to In & Out. The wait would've been long. But the order...
Read moreThis place has the worst drive thur ever!! I got there about 9 am no one in the the drive thur but me. I don't eat meat so I ordered a sourdough grill cheese breakfast sandwich combo with egg and cheese only, something new on there menu anyways I got to the the window payed and drove off. Before leaving the parking lot I checked my bag..wow never knew they made grilled cheese without the cheese being melted!! The bread was soaked in butter half toasted and the egg was lying on the cheese also soaked in butter. You would think if the egg/ bread was hot the cheese would melt. Also the hash brown bites were luke warm. I drove right back through the drive still no cars visible and asked her does this look like a grilled cheese sandwich to you" demanded my money back and left...I made this account just to give my review. I tried to give it no stars or one but didn't...
