Fat Daddy's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Morgantown

I have never set foot in a more poorly ran establishment. The door man was incredibly rude to me. It was raining outside so I had a small umbrella. He barked at me to “put it away before I poked his eyes out” while 2 patrons were standing between myself and him. I probably should’ve turned around and chosen any other bar to spend my money in at that point, but a group of friends were inside.

My friend and I went directly to the main bar to get drinks. We chose an opening on an end to wait. After about 10 minutes there with no luck, a kid sitting next to us told us we should move to the center, because no one had been getting served at the end of the bar. We moved to the center. Empty seats to the left and right of us. After about 20-30 minutes of being in that space and noticing people being served who had got there much later than we did, we got pretty frustrated. We have both worked in the service industry and are very understanding when a bar is under staffed or the bar is slammed, but this was anything but the case. I finally stood up and waved my hand to grab the attention of a bartender and told her “we’ve been here for 40 minutes and haven’t been served yet”. Her response to us was “and you won’t be getting served”. Come to find out, that bartender is THE OWNER. She quickly made her rounds to the rest of the staff to indicate to them they should not serve us either. I am absolutely shocked that the owner would treat her customers this way. I am a business owner and can’t fathom behaving in such an unprofessional manner. We will steer our large crowd of friends from returning to this “establishment”. The atmosphere was meh, the seating wasn't great, the music was mediocre....but the bartender Morgan made this the best experience.

She must have gone to the top mixology school provided, because my gosh.. she listened to my request, and I didn't even have to repeat myself. My drink came as requested. I never get this service, and I have been to a lot of bars..A LOT.

Morgan is clearly an asset to Fat Daddy's grill, and she is the main reason I will continue to come here. Her overall demeanor is one every bartender should aspire to be. She isn't over bearing, she isn't pushy, she's simply herself.

I never write reviews for places, even when the service is absolutely awful. I just choose to never go again.

Great bar staff with 3 bars to order at. The large main bar in the middle which normally has 4 or more bartenders. Duck bar near the pool tables normally 2 bartenders covering this bar. Then there's the back bar 2 bartenders here as well. The floor and staff are very friendly and the barbacks bust their butt's to make sure the bartenders can service you as quickly...
