Jersey's Best Bagels — Restaurant in Morris Plains

This place used to be very good but since new ownership I'm sadly disappointed. First they list bacon on the menu but they do serve REAL BACON. They substitute turkey bacon for REAL bacon without telling me. That's not what I ordered don't tell me it is the same. I don't like turkey bacon is not the same. Simply tell me you don't serve it and I would have order lox or something else. Next day they gave me something resembling Taylor ham but it wasn't. Taste was off. I'm guessing turkey roll. Finally the third day I order a breakfast sandwich with provolone cheese and despite them writing my order down I got American cheese. Three days, three screwed up orders. Three days of unsatisfying food. I simply have to write them off and can't recommend this place. Coffee is ok not great. The food is not the same as it used to be. What a disappointment. I’ve passed this place so many times & it was the big gyro sign that caught my eye. Haven’t found many real gyros here in NJ. I’m from Chicago. Nothing like anything I ever tasted before. It was a mash up of seasonings like Indian, Italian, Mexican & nothing Greek about it. Ugh!! $23 in the trash. We could not eat it! One Gyro & 1 gyro platter with really old tasting rice, burnt veggies. Horrible. The traditional tzatziki sauce was more like a creamy Italian dressing. I guess we should have opted for bagels. This place is overpriced for meat/egg/cheese sandwiches. I paid $5.00 when only single egg. I get double egg where I normally go for $4.50. Plus I asked for bacon egg cheese. When I got to work it was rubbery thick turkey bacon! When I called them, the person just said no, they don’t have pork bacon. So why didn’t someone tell me that?! He offered no apologies or agreement that I should have been told. Plus someone previously shared their potatoes with onion /peppers at work.
