3 of us went for dinner after my sister saw their ad on TV for boneless wings. The restaurant was quite busy but we were seated immediately. Our server arrived a few minutes later & took our beverage order. While she was gone, my sister & brother-in-law scoured the menu & the numerous signs & banners hanging in the restaurant for mention of the boneless wing special. There were none. I looked it up on my phone & they were able to show the server & get their wings. My sister had ordered nachos for the table & although I usually regret failing to get pics of great food, this was terrible food which I don't know how to describe to be believable so I regret failing to photograph this as well! The dish was a spattering of chips on a platter ranging on one side from complete mush in some unidentifiable white sauce to dark brown burnt bare chips on the other. There was a tablespoon of some black crumbly stuff in a single pile in the middle which I looked at the menu to identify as ground meat but didn't eat. There were 3 slices of jalapeno pepper placed across the top of the pile of chips. It was without a doubt the saddest excuse for nachos I have ever seen. My local skating rink makes better nachos & it's merely a handful of tostitos & a pump of some orange 'cheese' product!! A good server would have questioned why it was barely touched at any point during the meal. Our server was entirely too busy to notice or care if she did notice. Whenever she emerged into our area of the dining room, her focus was to the right. We, unfortunately, were seated on the left. On her third trip past to tables on the right, we were finally able to flag her down for beverage refills & additional wings. Again, too busy to care because instead of BBQ wings arriving at our table, a little tub of BBQ sauce was brought!! WTH?? I watched my brother-in-law's second margarita sit made on the bar close to 10 minutes while other servers picked up & delivered their drinks. If it had been my drink, I would have had it remade rather than chug it all watered down like he ended up doing. As far as the boneless wing mission for my sister, she didn't like the garlic parmesan or the sweet Thai chili - just the BBQ. Luckily, I ordered the chicken wonton tacos & thought they were quite tasty - just a bit difficult to eat. I'm not particularly a chain restaurant patron & I hope this experience has broken my sister from them for a while. At least I know WE...
Read moreHadn't ate here in awhile. So my husband and I decided to give it a try. Let me start by saying that I'm not a picky eater. I can usually find something on my plate that I like. Well right off we walk in we are seated pretty quick. After that it took about 15 mins for the waitress to come take our drink orders. The waitress, manager and three other employees where sitting and talking 3 tables away. We ordered the appetizer plate. It wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. Our spinach artichoke dip was half a bowl. Other than that it was pretty decent. For the main courses I ordered a steak med-well toppeswith garlic mushrooms, garlic mash potatoes and green beans. My steak was like rubber,my mushrooms where burnt and no taste, the mash potatoes where cold in the center, the green beans wasn't edible at all. They where undercooked and slimy. My husband ordered the bourbon steak med with onions and red potatoes. The steak was overcooked no pink at all. Onions where burnt and the potatoes had a odd taste. The sweet tea with lemon...well UT wasn't sweet and never did get a lemon. Asked twice for one.We didn't complain bc I realized it would do no good sense the manager and employees where goofing around like children. So with that being said we will never waste $60 on garbage again. We will stick to the better restaurants on down the road. No wonder it was dead and all the other places...
Read moreFirst and last time at this particular Applebee's. First we ordered chips and taco meat topped queso. It was delicious, however, they must have scraped the bottom of the barrel for the chips. Not one of them was bigger thsn a quarter. Then we got our meal and had to send the shrimp and chicken back cause it tasted like spraying perfume in your mouth. Unfortunately, my burger was no better...it tasted like varnish. I tried to eat it cause I felt horrible having to send another item back but it was just inedible. This is the first and only time we have ever sent anything back at any Applebre's and are not saying not to go here...maybe it was just one of those days! As I previously mentioned the chips and queso; they were fabulous. Also, our server was beyond nice and understanding. When she offered to take the burger off of our bill, I declined but she insisted. She gave us top notch service and was extremely pleasant. The atmosphere here is cozy but I had trouble seeing where I was going cause it was just a little too dark for me due to being legally blind and very dim lighting. The music was great, the parking was plentiful, the restsurant was very clean, the patronage for our veterans is highly commendable and service is excellent...just couldn't get past...
