Came on Saturday 2/18 .. I went to the bar because it was only me ..now before I go into my rant . Let me say , I’m a former employee..sat at the bar. There were two men leaving and expressing that they waited over an hour for food and their service was horrible . Despite this I continued on with my dining experience. I am a firm believer that your experience may not be my experience. There were two ladies sitting at the bar when I arrived. They said they had been sitting for a few minutes and were waiting for the male bartender to come back after busing dishes.he never came back because his shift had ended . I sat for maybe five minutes before a female bartender came and introduced herself. We ordered our drinks. It took a minute for us to be able to put in our food because she was getting ready for her shift. She was very hospitable, very outgoing. People were coming to the bar and sitting and I think she got overwhelmed. We ordered our food. The women who had been sitting before me ordered a salad. I wanted soup. However, she brought out a salad. I ordered the tour of Italy with no parm, double fettuccine with chicken and broccoli food took over an hour and 20 minutes. The lady next to me ordered soup and salad but never received a drink or water . But had her food. A couple sat at the high tops behind the bar and had their drinks almost immediately. The gentleman next to me ordered a salad with a side of salmon . He received his salmon almost 50 minutes of placing the initial order . I had to be at work at seven so I asked for her to box it up for me . she brought the food at 6:30 she never rang in my chicken and broccoli, I told her I no longer wanted my food. I never touched the salad . I said I don’t want it at all. I will pay for my drink. She left to service the others at the bar . I waited maybe 10 minutes before I got irritated because I was going to be late for work , and I’m fasting and 7 pm is my cut off time . I had to ask the host to bring me a manager . But it was crunch time and luckily my job is only 8 minutes away. Again , luckily The gentleman next to me offered to pay for my drink . Definitely disappointed in the...
Read moreWalked in at approximately 9:25pm. Waited about 5 min. Until cashier came from kitchen with an order for the customer ahead of me. Asked me if I was there to place a to go order. I said yes. She replied "one moment, please". Meantime another waitress came from kitchen to hand another customer a condiment, spoke nicely and went back to kitchen. Finally, around 9:35pm cashier took my order. Another customer came up behind me; she asked him if it was to go he replied yes and continued to wait patiently til I was done. Cashier told me my total and hesitated a moment and said to me one moment, please. Just then a neatly dressed young man (the Manager I presumed) walked up with another 2 go order for the counter. She says to him I need a Manager override. He looks at her screen and says it's too late for a to go order. That's why you can't check her out. Both she and I surprised; she asks why? I've already taken her order, she says. He looks at me and says it would be 5 min. after 10 (closing time) by the time your food would be ready. It takes 25 min. For to go orders and it's 9:35 now. It's too late. To say the least, myself and the customer behind me who the both of us had come in before 9:30 pm were disappointed and very much dissatisfied. Management, this is TOTALLY unacceptable as your employees should KNOW more about your policy as well as it would be nice to have a sign prominently placed at the to go counter to specify any cut-off times. If your hour of closing is 10pm, then you should serve your customers until 10pm! I left, went down the road a bit to Hghwy 19-41 to the Lazy Crab, got my order to go at 10 till 10. When I walked in I asked the young man, "Is it too late for a to go order?" You see, I was still suffering from "unprofessional" restaurant fatigue! He looked a bit confused but answered quickly, No mam, we don't close until 10! Thank God, for a great service /customer oriented...
Read moreI held a small baby sprinkle at this location because it was the only Olive Garden nearby that catered to large parties. When I arrived, I was told that I had to wait until at least half my party arrived before we were able to sit, even though I called ahead of time to inform them of my reservation. The waiting period threw my initial start time an hour back because in real time, everyone don’t always be on time. The waiting period had me exhausted and frustrated. I wanted to leave and go elsewhere, but that would have been too late of a notice for my arriving guests.
Once seated, one of the booth’s cushion was infested with gnats. As soon as some of my guests sat down, they flew out in a cluster. We informed our waitress to get the manager, but she never did, so I spoke with the manager (Brian) myself. He never apologized!!! All he said was that he’ll get pest control to come out to treat the issue. He didn’t ask me if I wanted to relocate. He didn’t offer any special discount or anything. That turned me completely off, and again, made me want to gather all my belongings and tell my guests to let’s go elsewhere. However, it still was kind of last minute, so I didn’t want to make it an issue for anyone else already seated or still arriving.
Where we were seated also had mold on the ceiling. I did not notice that until towards the end of our visit there. I so happened to look up while we were finishing up with my event. The restaurant lacks cleanliness (bathroom and table setting). The floors by our tables were filthy. The booths were filthy. Some of the tables were sticky, but those areas we did not sit at. They even lacked clean dish ware (salad saucers), you have to wipe it clean before using it.
I enjoyed myself and guests while here. I will not be visiting this location ever again! The customer service lacked and the cleanliness was a...
