I recently had the opportunity to visit this office and meet with Kreena Patel, MD for the first time, for the purpose of undergoing a physical examination. Notably, this was my inaugural encounter with a family physician. Upon meeting Dr. Patel, she inquired about the possibility of becoming my primary care physician prior to proceeding with the examination. She then posed several questions regarding my medical history, allowing me to express my health concerns. Additionally, she requested information regarding my household demographics, which seemed unrelated to the examination at hand. However, I observed that she was not documenting my responses, which resulted in repetitive questioning. I politely inquired about her well-being due to the repeated inquiries. Dr. Patel only performed a partial examination due to my disclosure of a specific health issue. If I had not mentioned it, she would not have conducted any examination whatsoever. She did not perform standard physical examination procedures such as auscultation or inspecting my ears, nor did she order any blood work. When I expressed dissatisfaction with the services provided, Dr. Patel informed me that she intended to charge me for addressing the specific health issue I mentioned, rather than the physical examination itself. However, she only clarified this after I pointed out the shortcomings in her examination. Also, I was the last patient before they closed for lunch, so I also feel that she was rushing my examination because she was ready to go to lunch. I requested a referral from the nurse, which Dr. Patel had neglected to provide. While discussing my concerns with the nurse, Dr. Patel overheard our conversation and arranged for security to escort me out of the building, thereby preventing me from obtaining the corporate contact information necessary to file a complaint. Throughout the encounter, I remained calm and composed, simply expressing my disappointment with the inadequate examination. Having visited several doctors previously, I am aware that a standard physical examination encompasses more than a conversation and family history questions. Not to mention I drove over an hour away for this appointment for her to just ask me questions. If possible, I would have assigned a zero rating to Dr. Patel's services. I would strongly advise against visiting this clinic or consulting with Dr. Patel, as her primary concern appears to be financial gain rather than providing adequate patient care. I am still waiting for someone whoâs over this facility to give me a call back in reference to this matter. I was humiliated by this Doctor Who had me escorted out of the office for expressing my concerns about my health. And as you can see, I never do reviews so this had to be very...
Read moreHorrible experience with this facility, My test results were handled completely wrong. They attempted to call ONCE, LEFT NO VOICE MAIL but sent a letter in the mail (which I received), I called them back and the lady on the phone says "Oh, Your prescriptions are at your pharmacy is why we contacted you. I even called them back about a week after that because I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics prescribed and they prescribed me a different kind and STILL THEY SAID NOTHING SO IM THINKING MY PAPSMEAR RESUTS ARE NORMAL LIKE THEY HAVE CAME BACK FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS SINCE 2016. Fast forward, I become pregnant 08/21, I schedule an appointment with them and learn my pap smear results was abnormal and I needed an coloscopy and they say "We tried to reach you", ONCE BY PHONE AND A LETTER WHICH I RETURNED THE CALL!!!- AN ABNORMAL TEST RESULT YOU WANT TO CALL AND MAKE SURE ITS CONFIRMED YOU SPOKE ABOUT THE RESULTS ESPECIALLY WHEN I CALLED BACK TWICE!!!! They use Propath and not LabCorp so its hard to even see your test results on your own I. had to ask them for some kind app where I could see my test results and they sent me the link. Dr. Lemon does not keep it real as she should. I was due to be 8 weeks but only saw a sac, all she says is the baby is not there yet and to wait 4 weeks and prescribed me prenatal pills- I was informed by my PCP of other reasons such as missed miscarriage, blighted ovum etc. Lemon avoided all of this in conversation and took my blood levels once. Mercedes needs more skill training on how she talks to people, she asked me about my test results and asked me why I didn't go to a hospital and before I could respond she says "Don't you go get your hair did"? Like I'm just going to sit on my behind KNOWING I have a abnormal pap smear but go get my hair did. She wasn't even my nurse she just tested my urine and printed my previous results and she came in my room LOUD AND WRONG for no reason. She seems nosey to me. I also called to get a second HCG level to see if my level of 7038 rose of lowered and Mercedes hangs up the phone after I'm on hold for 20 minutes. Cancelled all my appointments and I will definitely be returning back to Southern Crescent Women's Healthcare to do another pap smear and continue to follow up- I left them due to moving but I will be back. Better service...
Read moreVery disappointing and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment 3-4 weeks ago. Arrived at my appointment early and was told I wasn't on the list. The young lady at the front desk seemed to be new and asked for assistance with my appointment. Another lady walked up after hearing what was going on and told her, "When they say that, tell them we merged our system and they have to reschedule." Hello..I'm standing right here. I explained that I spoke with someone on the phone to make the appointment, I've taken off work, and why didn't someone call to tell me that I would need to reschedule. She became rude so I asked if she could explain to the provider that I've taken off work, I had an appointment and it wasnât my fault that I'm not on the list. She said no, and walked over to make phone calls. I waited and asked again, if she could ask the provider if she would accommodate me because I scheduled an appointment. She would NOT attempt to fix this error. I was in shock because she seemed to be irritated with me, the new patient that made an appointment , took off work, drove 25 minutes to be told -our system merged. Merge means to combine... so why would you not have me in the system. Very unprofessional, poor customer service and very disappointing to know that you may have health issues or need to see a doctor; you make an appointment to seek professional medical care to be told no. Not an apology for the mix-up, nothing. The rude young lady was quick to say this is what the doctor has stated. She will not overbook and she will not see you (never went back to ask the provider) although I asked several times. I don't normally write reviews, this is my 2nd one but this was just shocking to me. I hope a doctor wouldn't have this mindset and the lady was just covering up her mistake. In writing this review, I hope the provider sees these reviews to understand what is taking place in their business and make changes. Just very...
