Moe's American Grill — Restaurant in Mounds View

We sat on the restaurant side. The food was really very good. The burgers were well cooked and tasted amazing. The fries and the onion rings were great too. However, the food maybe a bit over priced for their burgers at least. The barbecue sauce that came with the burger "Jim Beam" burger was really awful. Don't reccomend the barbecue sauce.

The service was ok. Definitely seemed more wait staff there than needed to be there. Three different wait staff for just five tables of customers...The server was nice. Still our server only checked if we needed refills once. Which I can't blame them for soda drinks were huge. The server only need to checked on our drinks once.

The server also took forever to get our check. Our server seemed more eager to talk to other wait staff than give us our check. It felt awkward waiting and seeing the servers chatting while all we wanted to do was pay and leave.

Definitely highly reccomend the food minus the barbecue sauce and if you don't mind the price. However, maybe get everything to go if you can or just go to the bar...

Came here a few weeks ago. Just moved into the area and decided to try this place out as it is always busy when we drive past. Arrived in a group of 3 on a busy Saturday night. Two girls up front asked for my name to be put down on the list. I asked how long the wait was, and they said 15 mins. The girl on the left seemed annoyed, but the girl on the right was nice and friendly. After we were seated, it took a while for someone to get our drinks and put in our order. We ordered the deviled eggs, coconut shrimp, stroganoff, spaghetti, and steak. $16 for 4 pieces of shrimp is way too much. Stroganoff tasted plain, and spaghetti had no flavor. Steak and deviled eggs were the only good things, but those two are hard to mess up. It took over 20 minutes for us to get our check and pay for our food. Towards the end of our visit, the restaurant wasn't as busy as when we came in. While waiting to finally pay and leave, we saw the servers standing around and talking. Spent most of the time at this restaurant waiting...

This is a post I hate writing, but needs to be written. my girlfriend and I came to eat and enjoy the patio tonight and it was great. we ordered the wings and like usual they were delicious just like every time before. Our server was the best!! She was friendly, relaxed, helpful and made sure we were taken care of. When it comes to food and service I would totally give a 5 star every time. My issue is that there is a 4% surcharge pursuant to MN Statute 177.3 subdivision 9. There is no Statute 177.3 subdivision 9, but I did find MN Statute 177.23 Subdivision 9 though and I'm assuming this what the owner is talking about. Nowhere in this Statute does it say a restaurant has to charge a fee, this is a choice of the restaurant to be greedy and take more money from their paying customers. Your food again is great, but very expensive and you want to pass along a surcharge to your paying customers on top of a very expensive menu.
