Used to be great...when it was new. If I could post less than one star I would as you can probably get better service at McDonalds across the street. They have been restaffed about 3 times now. The food is pretty hard to screw up, but I am disgusted with the current service as of April 2019. The girl behind the counter making fries either can't count or just doesn't care- she makes batches of pre made fries one order at a time and cant be bothered to properly make cajun fries.... We have waited 20+ minutes on numerous occasions for food that should take 5 minutes (and then watch other people be served hot dogs....? I get it they are pre made but you SKIPPED my order to cook others...) there is a number system in place for a reason. Besides this when I tried to get them to make my food in numerical order last time I was they were all strangely calling me a dumb cracker and told me to make my own food. NO that is why YOUR EMPLOYEES get paid Five Guys. If they cannot get proper staff they should close the location. Love Five Guys in Orlando, as I lived over there for 10 years and have moved home. This Mt. Dora location is a JOKE. Horrible employees, will gladly support local businesses over this sad excuse for a Five Guys. End the lease and let someone else open something of actual use- because besides everything else the place is generally empty. Just HORRIBLE. Don't want anyone to think this place has anything to do with the City of Mt Dora. Thanks...
Read moreFive Guys burgers are a cut above, and it’s not just hype. Their patties are hand-formed, never frozen, and cooked to order on a flattop grill, giving you that juicy, slightly charred perfection every time. The beef is high-quality, sourced from choice cuts, and you can taste the difference—rich, savory, and never dry. They don’t skimp either; a standard burger comes with two patties, but you can customize it to your heart’s content with free toppings like crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, grilled onions, mushrooms, or jalapeños. The bun is soft, slightly toasted, and holds up without getting soggy.
The fries? Hand-cut, fried in peanut oil, and served in heaps so generous you’ll be sharing (or not). They’re crispy outside, fluffy inside, with that golden, just-right saltiness. You can even go Cajun for a spicy kick. The vibe is no-frills—think red-and-white checkers and bags of potatoes stacked in the open—but that raw, honest energy is part of the charm. It’s not fast food; it’s good food, fast. Whether you’re grabbing a classic cheeseburger or piling on quirky combos like A1 sauce and pickles, Five Guys delivers a burger experience that’s indulgent, customizable, and consistently...
