Very nice people (phone/driver).
Please read the rest of my review with the understanding that I am trying to point out their food is different not bad compared to other Chinese restaurants in this area.
The BBQ spare ribs on the bone were good. A little different taste but I enjoyed them and they were tender.
Pork fried rice was very yellow in color and had pork with small pieces of onions in it that was it.
General Tso chicken didn't have any heat to it and chicken pieces were stuck together. Again color of food was different than what I usually get elsewhere. If you want it spicy I recommend telling them when you order it.
Beef and broccoli had its own distinct flavor but the broccoli was very good.
Won Ton soup had the dumplings and scallions in it, but no pork strips. I'm not sure if that was due to it coming with a lunch special or not.
Again I'm not saying the food was bad, just different in taste and appearance. I've been all over this country and Chinese food is different everywhere you go with regards to taste and appearance.
For those who remember, there will never be Chinese Food like the old China Star restaurant on Rt. 38...
Read moreOrdered from Jin Cheng on 8/18/17 for delivery Their Driver is Beyond evil.He gave me a slip to sign because I paid by Debit and when I gave it back to him and he seen that there was no tip.He immediately started talking in his language and then he threw the bag with my food and copy of my receipt on the ground!!!! I had 3.00 cash in my hand to give to him instead of putting the tip on my card. But before I had a chance to give it to him he did what he did and walked away yelling in his language!.I called the Jing Cheng to let them know what occurred and the woman that answered said that she will let the manager know. Not even an apology on his behalf. My food that I paid for was all shuffled and spilling from all angles because this evil delivery man got upset.I will write a review on EVERY SITE that I can letting people know how I was treated along with the nonchalant response I received when I called to let the restaurant to let them know about their driver.I gave this Business MY money and was...
Read moreLike so many other inexpensive Chinese restaurants in this area, Jin Cheng is a plain-looking, unassuming store in a shopping center. Don't let appearances fool you though. I found the food to be above average, nearly the equal of the best of the inexpensive Chinese takeouts in South Jersey. The General Tso's chicken in particular was crisp and flavorful. Also, the fried rice actually had pork and a few other ingredients and wasn't just the cliched yellow fried rice that some other places dish out. Service too is top-notch. We dined in for this review and they were very helpful in getting us everything we needed.
Jin Cheng is in a shopping center at the corner of Rt 73 and Ramblewood Parkway, accessible from both roads. Be aware that unlike many other intersections in South Jersey, this one doesn't have jughandles. So you'll actually have to keep left to make a left turn from Rt 73 to Ramblewood Parkway. Signs in the highway median...
