Update 3/31/2023: We had a horrible experience there last night. I was there with my 2 kids. We ordered a Chicken BLT as one meal. Steak tips with grilled chicken and a third item I can't remember as well as 2 sides as the second meal. We also ordered a breakfast platter for my daughter as the third meal. After almost 45 minutes, the server came over to apologize for the delay. All the tables around us have been getting their food. Not sure what was going on with our table that we couldn't get our food but the server was really nice. Finally the food arrived. This gross looking thing was put in front of my son that looked nothing like the chicken BLT he ordered. Even the server made a face at it. For him, we decided the switch that mess with a kids chicken finger platter. My meal came out with fried chicken instead of grilled. Oh, and my sides were missing as well. My daughter's meal was perfect. The manager came over and said, "I understand they're making you new grilled chicken. I tried to explain the other issues but he wasn't interested and pretty much walk away as he stated his only sentence about the grilled chicken. A guy came from the kitchen and brough my sons new fingers. He asked if everything was not good. I said I still needed my grilled chicken and sides. He looked embarrassed and was truly empathetic. He said he would get them for me. He brought the chick over about 5 minutes later and I reminded him again about the sides. Note: this was probably 20 minutes after I receive the initial platter. The waitress quickly dropped off the check and didn't say another word. They CHARGED ME FOR THE 4 MEALS. I blame the manager for not taking off at least the chicken slop we were initially served and the server not noticing and having it adjusted. And lets be real, they should have done a lot more than that. We have always been good clients and they blew this one big time. The cashier was really nice and asked the typical "How was everything." I told her. She said it was the waitresses first day which made sense. She asked if I wanted to speak with the manager and I let her know that he didn't seem to really care. She just smiled. I paid for the 4 meals (including the one we didn't touch) and left. Not sure we will be going back. Unfortunately, my daughter loves their breakfast platter. Bad experience Stay away at least till they get their act together. I filled out the company survey: Shock, never heard from anyone.

Original review from 20022: Cracker barrel has really upped their game over the past few years. I would swear that their portions have gotten larger. Their prices have gone up but that's expected and are not going up in relation to the portion size so that's a plus. We've been there twice in the past 3 months due to the change that we've experienced. We will definitely eat there again. We do however feel that the store is way overpriced for what you can buy the same...

This Cracker Barrel is conveniently located near the Turnpike, I-295 and Route 73. It is also within waddling distance of several nearby hotels (although most people will probably take the elevator down from their 2nd floor room and drive the .3-mile distance).

After passing the front porch with rockers for sale (but no outdoor dining area) deliver yourself through the prototypical gift shop to the podium at the back for seating in the old-timey dining room. Dark wood abounds. It's perfect if you're having a migraine. Sit facing away from the front windows if you want to avoid even the smallest amount of light entering your photoreceptors.

Breakfast is served all day. (I did not try the country fried steak, meat loaf, pot roast, etc.) Pictured is the Old Timer's Breakfast, which comes with two eggs & grits, plus choice of bacon or sausage and fried apples or hashbrown casserole. The following "fixins" are included: biscuits, gravy, butter & jam. I ordered toast, which wasn't a good idea for two reasons: 1) What to do with the gravy? and 2) The sourdough is sugary. What? Get the biscuits.

The theme for this breakfast is unapologetic glop. After all, you are getting what you asked for. If you don't like the crisp edge of home fries or hash browns, a casserole may be just what you need. The grits are, well, grits. The gravy was a bit gelatinous, but nominal for gravy under typical earth conditions.

The eggs & bacon were cooked perfectly, and the coffee was just right. My waitress was friendly and efficient.

You pay at the cash register in the gift shop. The terminal does not accept a chip or Apple/Android Pay. Tell the cashier how much tip you want to leave (unless you're still in the habit of leaving dirty paper on the table). The terminal doesn't accommodate entering a tip.

Per owner's response, I updated my review to clarify it is positive overall, and the "glop" comments were meant only as a humorous take on this style of breakfast (which is a matter of preference). Regarding the dark interior, I would not be surprised if Cracker Barrel corporate eventually modernizes all stores to improve the ambiance without compromising the...

It’s sad to have to write this because Cracker Barrel has always been one of my favorite restaurants to have breakfast with my family. It’s so nostalgic and used to feel so homey. My last few experiences weren’t so great but today’s left the worst impression of them all. My mom called me this morning saying that she woke up with a craving for great pancakes. We agreed that the best pancakes are at CB. She met me there (35 minute ride for her) and we both ordered the same thing. Pancakes, eggs and bacon. Mine were perfect, but her pancakes came out really light, so she kindly asked if she could have some that were cooked like mine. The server brought back pancakes that were black. My guess is that they took hers and put them back on the griddle. I waved to get the manager’s attention, he ignored me. So I walked back near the kitchen where he was standing and he walked inside of the kitchen. Not sure if this was intentional… But I asked the host if she could send him (the manager) over to my table. He came over and my mom showed him her pancakes (even he was shocked at how burnt they were). He said that he would make new ones for her himself. They came out looking pretty good but were doughy in the center and had a weird taste. When the server dropped them off she said “let’s try this again”. It was as if this was funny to them. The manager came over with the bill and said that he discounted her meal since they had to “make the pancakes 3 times”. Ultimately my mother was still unhappy and never got to enjoy the pancakes that we came there for. The service was not great, because it was obvious that my mom was still not happy and they really just brushed it off. As I said, this is one of of favorite places to come as a family- it has been since I was a kid- but I don’t think that we...

Highly disappointed! Me and my family wanted breakfast and my sister says Cracker Barrel. We usually go to Westampton but wanted to try somewhere different. We take the trip to Mt Laure and can I say never again ? The eggs were not done at all ! They still had hood that needed to be scrambled which made them taste wet ! The French toast was burnt but the white peoples who came in after looked so fluffy and fresh ? They offered my mom chicken sausage said it wasn’t spicy and the other waitress said it’s called spicy chicken sausage but it’s not. My moms eyes watered and she didn’t eat it they didn’t take it off the bill along with the wet eggs and untouched cinnamon roll pie. The pie taste like they took store bought cinnamon rolls and put them in pie crust. It was hard looked nothing like the photo the bacon was all burnt I can’t say nothing was good but I did eat my French toast because you can’t go wrong with cracker barrel syrup. We then expressed how my mom does not eat pork and the waiter kept suggesting bacon or regular sausage. I order French toast with the home style chicken but when we wanted to replace my moms spicy chicken sausage the waitress suggested with home style she said you can’t substitute but is clearly on the menu!!!!!!!!?????Don’t waste your money maybe unless your white black peoples always feel the Cracker in Cracker Barre before you get served. The hostess was great even he said everybody had everybody messed up that day ! They had to be giving him a hard time smh.

Possibly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The problems started with the wait. The parking lot and most of the dining room were empty, but our party (7 people) still waited over 20 minutes to get seated. When we finally did get seated, there was a problem with the silverware. As soon as we opened the silverware sets, we noticed that all the knives were covered in filthy residue from the dishwasher. This was a problem for many customers in the dining room but management did not care at all. When the food finally came out, it was gross. The haddock which I purchased tasted overly salty and like reheated frozen food. The corn had no flavor whatsoever, and the macaroni and cheese tasted like it had been sitting in a warming tray for a while. Nothing was fresh or tasted homemade. So disappointing. After eating, some of our party felt nauseated and sick. The last straw was entering the men's room to find it in total disarray. Trash bins were not emptied, toilets were filthy, and one of the toilets was not even working. This dining experience was disgraceful. The management should be ashamed of their work running this place. I will never go back to eat here again unless the management endures serious change or replacement. Avoid this restraunt, you will be disappointed and grossed out throughout your whole dining experience!
